I am sure Cedar Point isn't the only park affected by this outage. Plenty of other parks reside in the affected areas.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

I was at my girl friends house eralier and her mom came home once we got back to the house. She bought a lot of water and other stuff. She wanted to be prepared just incase. It was a pretty funny site.

Taking a look at the Cedar Point Camera's the park is still in the dark at this hour, Still no word yet on if people are still on some of the Rides at the park. I did happen to get a report from an Ohio TV station that in fact people where still trapped on the Rides at CP..Its really a very interesting site to see the Fan Camera thats positioned High atop Power Tower which is virtually completely dark.http://cedarpoint.com/_cpcam/cam1_0000000001.jpgThis pic is from 9:15pm Central Time, The Lights that you do see are obviously emergancy lighting at that park.http://cedarpoint.com/_cpcam/cam3_0000000001.jpgYet another pic at CP this time its at 9:20PM Central TimeAnd Finally a rather interesting picture from the CP Fan Cam, is from around 4:07pm Eastern Time, the exact moment in which the power failure occured.http://cedarpoint.com/_cpcam/cam2_0000000001.jpgI will be adding more in the way of updates reguarding the situation at CP and more in the Chatroom Tonight.

Galvin. Relax. Most people know of the outages. We dont need a personal reporter on these boards. All we have to do is turn on the T.V. or check the internet.By the way, CP closed at 7 PM tonight so I highly doubt anyone is still stuck on a ride.

Was CP supposed to close at 7 tonight, or is that just because of the outages?

It says on their website that they are supposed to be open until 11 PM tonight, so I would imagine that they closed early due to the power outage.

I think it did, because on the webcam on their site theres a picture taken today and there are people there. But they might not be guests I can't tell.

I believe CP is open today. If you go onto its website and click on the TTD Status Report, there's a message stating that both CP and Soak City are scheduled to open.

Yeah, I was there when it happened. People were stuck on Raptor, Magnum, Mantis, TTD, MF, Iron Dragon... and the list goes on, but those were the only ones I saw.

I was in Breakers Express when it happened....... The cars were jammed up on the road right outside the hotel... and I cleaned out my mom's car during it, THERE WAS NOTHING ELSE TO DO!! Now thats pathetic  ! I was just glad i wasn't at the park that day! Friday was sweet! Dragster and M Force were open early and the crowds weren't too bad... Now Saturday, thats another story  .
