I find it truly unfortunate that she survived.

The words, "Please Remain Seated during the ride" are pretty straightforward and simple to understand. Better luck next time I suppose

How come you find it unfortunate that she survived?

God bless all of those people who are involved in amusement ride accidents. Most of the time they are not doing anything wrong, but in this case I guess the lady was.

Stuff like this makes amusement parks look bad.

Wonder if she had someone else in the bucket with her.
If so, Chance may want to look at their new policy again.

I guess after Chance put that mandate (i.e. No single riders), it's pretty evident they can still just come out (term used lightly), whether standing or intentionally jumping out of the gondola.

I fully believe in natural selection.

People, especially in this country are getting off easy and making the situation alot worse. She blatantly disobeyed the rules and paid the price and because of her, I can guarantee within the next year we are going to see seat belts on all ferris wheels in addition to no single riders and every other ridiculous rule known to man enforced on simple ferris wheels, and sure as shit she's going to sue Wade Shows, which BTW it a fine carnival company, along with Chance/Morgan, there is going to be an out of court settlement, everyone involved is going to loose $$ and stupidity in this country gains even more ground.

One day, sadly I foresee that there is going to be lapbars and/or OTSRs on ferris wheels. The whole situation in the US is just flat out sad, and we need to see Tort reform in a big hurry.

Perhaps you'd like a ride on that newly rethemed for 2008 Huss Flic Flac that will be traveling once again in Germany :)

being done up by the same guy who owns Commander, the Mondial Shake R4.

as of right this second, what is shown in that art doesnt exist, but that is an existing ride, it's a Huss Flic Flac.

But in Germany concept art is usually almost 100% accurate to the final product especially on the portables, so that pic should be pretty accurate to what it will look like next March/April when most new rides in Europe debut.
It will be owned/operated by Sascha Hanstein, same family that owns Commander.

Pretty cool video on that site. Thanks FParker185!!!

As for this accident, the lady running the Navy Pier ferris wheel today told me that this only made matters worse as far as the single rider rule.
