SFFT New home for SFNO's BTR?

Talk about anything that has to do with the amusement park industry here.
Postby Galvan on August 19th, 2007, 12:24 pm
Reports are surfacing that the new home for Six Flags New Orleans' former Batman the Ride will be Feista Texas.

Pictures have been seen of ride peices arriving and some possible staging going on around the park.

I wonder where it will go in the park. Are they getting rid of SFNO because of the damage or will they reopen?

I've been following this since the rumors came up.

It just dosen't make sense to me that they would put it up in the park, and try marketing it as a new ride, when Great White at Sea World isn't very far from SFFT.

^They can market it as a brand new ride and paint it different colors from Great White and theme it differently and the GP wouldn't really know they were the same.

I'm pretty sure the GP are gunna be able to make the connection once they ride it, that they just rode something that was 15 minutes down the road.

I doubt the GP will know the difference, Not everyone is a Coaster Enthusiast like we are.

Sure the layouts are the same, but Six Flags can market this new ride very well, batman everything. Its a perfect situation for that park.

FINNALLY!!!!!!!! FT is my home park as of now, and we need some new coasters! Kinda sux that Im moving to Indiana... but, owell, closer to CP and SFGAM!

Im think they are gonna put it over between Krypton and Rattler. But who knows, the amusement park industry is always suprising us!

Err, don't you mean closer to Indiana Beach and Holiday World? ;) If you don't now, you might mean that later on. :)

I think it'd be better off if the GP knew it was the same ride, the gate is cheaper at SFFT, gives some people one less reason to go to Seaworld.

Also it can be very successfully argued that people don't go to Sea World to ride thrill rides, most people who go there are more into the marine life aspect of the park, I'm going to guess only a minority of people who go to SWT actually leave the park having ridden a ride. The 2 coasters are basically just there to hopefully make sure that parents bring not only the little kids but also the teenagers and that gives them something to do besides vandalize the place, I'd bet they'd rather be at SFFT anyways (the teen demographic that is).

^Seaworld is very boring. The only good shows there are the whale ones, and compared to like Bull, Titan, or MF, Steel Eel is not that great...

SFFT is a great park, clean, friendly, and cool rock quarry scenery. What I dont get is why around here in Texas, everybody prefers going to Schlitterbahn and SeaWorld! Kind weird considering FT has great shows, a great water park, awesome rides, and its a clean place, (Schlitterbahn is disgusting).

Once batman gets to FT, im sure it will be much more popular. Another coaster is the only thing its lacking.

(PS, Schlitterbahn is a MASSIVE waterpark like Noahs ark...)

^Anyone who watches the travel channel know what Schlitterbahn is. They talk about it ad nauseum.

What I find interesting is the Sea World is only in the states that have access to the ocean.... I wonder how well it would go over in a state more inland.
Every jumbled pile of person has a thinking part that wonders what the part that isn't thinking, isn't thinking of.
