DISNEY!?!?!

Talk about anything that has to do with the amusement park industry here.
Postby coastercrazy111 on July 21st, 2006, 12:04 pm
Has anyone heard the news? Six Flags is now selling Disney Merchandise! I was shocked when i found that out! It started out as one park with a store called Curiosity, written in the fancy Disney letters, with a nice big Disney logo on the side. Seems to me Six Flags is lookin to make any kind of moeny they can. But Screamcape made a point in saying, why woudl you want to buy a Mickey plush doll after getting your picture taken with the Justice League?

Seeing this leads me to beleive, and gives me a very strange feeling that sometime soon in the future we will see a complete Disney buy out of the Six Flags corporation, and we will no longer be going to Six Flags Great America, but Disneys Great America! (this is NOT a rumor, just my thoughts) So what do you think?
2010 is going to be one to remember forever!!

They have been selling the Disney stuff for a while now at GAm. It's just some merchandise, nothing big.

Yea, there has been Disney stuff there for a while. The question is, is it selling? From the looks of it no one is buying Disney Stuff. Disney stuff does not sell at Six Flags because people who go into the shops are looking for something that you can not find at any other store expect for Six Flags.

it would only make sence to buy a Six Flags shirt from Six Flags. and buying a Disney shirt from Disney. I could'nt see SF shirts in Disney and selling. It's also different trademarks which I find really weird.

That's kinda stupid in my opinion, but it does make money.

It also sounds a little fishy....

^

They probably sell Walt Disney dolls @ WDW. I've never actually looked for one, but you never know...

Of course, if they don't, SFGAm might get plush Walt Disneys first.

Well, he wants SF Inc. to be more like Disney, what better way to start off than sell Disney merchandise.

Not quite true. That Disney stuff sells EXTREMLEY well. Most of it is pretty generic. Usually you can get it at the Disney Store or even Target.

But it sells. And is Disney going to turn down money even thought their merchandise is being sold in that enviroment?

I think not.
