This history-making centrifuge ride has yet to report another incident.
The target is known as a 35-year-old woman who lost consciousness after disembarking the Mission: Space ride at Epcot. She told paramedics that she felt tingling in her arms and hands. She was flown by helicopter to Orlando Regional Medical Center where she was listed in stable condition. The incident does not appear to be life-threatening. The woman's name has not been released.
Two riders, one known as a 49-year-old woman and a 4-year-old boy, have died on the ride in the past 13 months. Their deaths don't appear to have been caused by the ride itself.
I doubt it would be for good, but you never know...
This ride is one of the most intense I've ever been on. People just don't seem to understand that, probably because you can't see what the ride does until you ride it. However, they do warn you.
"And that farm girl walked off with slippers off a dead woman? She must have been raised in a barn!" ~Wicked, an excellent musical
What is CM? It costs a 100 million, and that's still a 100 million. Maybe, they will just have both non-motion seats for the entire ride now. What a waste of money, and I support them if they get rid of it. It's not like it's that great anyway. Something definitely needs to come in Epcot next year now. I hear they were thinking about getting rid of Ellen. The heart thing has been closed for awhile, and this, we all know about this.
"I've been staring at the world, waiting. All the trouble and all the pain we're facing. Too much light to be livin' in the dark. Why waste time? We only got one life. Together we can be the CHANGE. So go and let your heart burn bright"

wow, another injury on this ride. I personally think Mission Space is a bit intesnse, i was sick for a half hour afterwards, but i didn't think it was that intense. I don't think the ride will be closed for good, but if it did, i don't think i would be too shocked or anything. we'll see what disney decides though.
I never got to ride it anyhow. Maybe someday. Ellen has been at Universe of Energy for 10 years now. Wonders of Life has been the way it's been since it was built and really begins to show it's age. I think Wonders of Life should be torn up and replaced with something else.
R.I.P. Splashwater Falls and Space Shuttle America. Deja Vu, enjoy Idaho.
Hear ye, hear ye: "After 45 years, Six Flags has stopped smoking."
The WoL pavilion is currently closed and is not expected to make a comeback. For the past season its only been operating during peak periods and I believe it has been confirmed that it is currently being torn up from the inside out.
that ride is pretty intense. but they do give you a good heads-up on whats going to happen. some people just dont know about their 'body problems' or just choose to ignore it.
I love the intensity of that ride...I never had any issues with being sick after it, but that could be becasue I made sure not to ride it on a full stomach...I'm not sure, but that could have made a difference...

Check your sources on that. Last I checked, they could staff that pavilion and open it in a day. The inside looks as if theres nothing wrong with it. But yeah its been closed for a long while. According to a cast member (blue ID with a gold stripe), Wonders of Life is currently scheduled to be open 5 weeks a year. The week of Thanksgiving, the last three weeks of December, and first week of January. Disney is still waiting for a new participant to sponsor the pavilion, and is ready and willing to replace the attractions on the inside at the request of the participant.

I could post a video i took for ya, but u wouldnt see much.
Its a simulator for 4 people and you go to mars as a team. your team has 2 tasks each during the ride. The ride spins and stops quickly to make the forces seem real.
^one of the 4 positions.
^here you can see the open part of the simulators which close onto you. You can also see the arms which spin you.

Sweet! thanks for the info! im going to orlando next spring break my uncle has a time share there I hope to go on Mission Space but I have no idea if my family plans to go to Epcot.
it was fun, but if anyone in your group gets queezy, then it's not for them. I can usually handle some spinny rides, but i ended up sick for 15 mins after the ride.
