X-Car Coaster coming to America

Talk about anything that has to do with the amusement park industry here.

Magic Springs will open the first X_car coaster outside of Europe. The ride will also have the highest inversion in the world. Hopefully this coaster gets the press it will deserve, and bring more people to the laid back park.

Yes....
From the press release and articles I've read, This X-car coaster will be identical to Skywheel at Skyline park. These rides look so amazing. I love how such a simple design can give so much thrill  From what I know these X coasters travel up a vertical lift, have 2 mid air inversions, pace forward and backward and suspend you upside down for a moments time and falls through to some brakes for the "finale". I think It would be cool for us to have 2 side by side 8) I mean have you seen the price...$4 million for one...thats good for a big roller coaster. The cheapest Ive heard is 8-9 million for a big coaster such as this.

maybe this means I can skip Skyline Park and hit Legoland instead one year from now 8)

Though to be honest their Caripro Gyroflyer (SkyRider) is just to tempting for a flat ride fan such as myself to pass up. Also Skyline is €9 cheaper to get into.

Do you think that these "skywheels" would attract any intrest to the GP?

My friend Rose lived in England and Holland and rode all those coasters like Oblivion and Goliath and she thought these X car coasters looked really weird compared to anything she has ever seen or ridden.

I think they would be populer solely for the "What the hell is that thing" factor.

The full circuit ones like Drayton Mannor got, now those looks sweet and I'm sure draws loads of interest from the GP.

I think it will be about as popular as V2 as it's basically the same thing, just without a launch and it's a full circuit loop, ends up having a heartline and both forwards and backwards freefalls as it vallies(before it starts again)

My Question is with parts of the track basically hanging in mid-air, wouldnt that cause stress fractures and possible damage to the track?

You really think it would be that popular even here  ?
I think the only thing to turn them down is the hourly capacity it has which will cause long lines
Youre right though...I had that reaction too, even when Ive shown my friends a pic from it theyre like what the hell is that...cool!
