Indiana Beach

Talk about anything that has to do with the amusement park industry here.
Postby DejaVuGurl1203 on July 7th, 2005, 7:24 am
I need some information about Indiana Beach. I will be going for the first time on July 15th. First of all, how are all the rides there? I definitely plan on riding all the coasters, but what are some good flat rides they have? Also, do they have lockers? If so, how much does it cost to use them?

Thanks.

Cornball Express is one of the best Woodies in the world. Hoosier Hurricane and the Lost Coaster are good as well. One Flat ride was recently removed, not sure which one. The overall park feel is a small amusment park, good at sticking more than one thing in the same space. Mini-Golf is fun but it's not a ride.

Well..Indiana Beach is like Mt. Olympous. Except you have a time limit on your wrist band, or you can pay invidiual rides.

Tig'r Coaster is one to skip, dosent have any seatbelts, when the G's could have easily forced me out.

Lost Coaster apparantley got re-done since my last visit so check that out.

Cornball is one to try in the back row, airtime.

Hoosier Hurricane is well, you be the judge.

Then theres Galaxi which is a real fun ride.

I'm almost positive they have lockers, and I highly doubt the exceed the $10 range.

I don't think I have much to worry about with the wristband and whatnot. I'm going with a group, and each person only has to bring 10 dollars. We're gonna be there from around 11-3. Thanks for the info though. I really can't wait to try out the woodies.

As for flat rides, I'm not sure if Chaos is still open, but if it is, ride it, as it is being taken out later this year. One flat ride that you definitely shouldn't miss is their swings. They are unique to say the least, and you will see what I mean when you get there.

Double Shot is a good ride as well, I wouldn't miss that. I also really enjoyed their skyride (ski-lift style transport system), as you literally have your feet hanging right over the boardwalk. That's about it for now, I'll edit this if I think of anything more.

EDIT: I actually enjoyed Tig'rr when I was there, the turn at the end of the first drop is AWESOME!

I've never been there, but I have some questions, and one suggestion.

Why is Chaos going? Someone has informed me that the Rush Street Flyer at SFStL is a Chance Falling Star. That's a great ride. I believe that Indiana Beach has one of those.

Also, those swings are a Chance Yo-Yo, right? I can guess the uniqueness is that they actually tilt a fair deal. It feels like you are going to go out of your seat if they tilt a lot. If you've been to SFStL, they have a Yo-Yo, but they barely tilt. When they really tilt, it is an awesome experience.

^^^I dont know what he was talking about when he said dont ride the Tigrr. Its probably one of the best there.

Cornball Express- My second favorite woodie under The boss. Awsome ride... looks lame as heck but delivers quite the ride in back.. or even in front.

Lost Coaster- Very bumpy if you ride backwards... or all together. A must ride.

Hoosier Hurricane- Your basic out and back, alot of fun can compare to american eagle a bit.

Galaxy- Your basic... well galaxy. Alot of fun... my first real steel coaster.

Tigrr- This is really cool because there are no restraints! Not even a seat belt. The majority of it is over a resturaunt and its located next to (over?) lake shaffer.

Chaos- This is my favorite flat ride out there.

Water swings- Deffinatly the best swings out there.. your over the water the whole time and your chair rocks back and fourth like crazy!

Falling star- Its just a ....cool? ride.

Double Shot- S&S Tower, absolutly the craziest one out there! Its hipbreaking good!

I guess ive put in my two cents now...
Have fun!

I thought Mt. Olympus became a theme park where you only pay the 1 admission price and the rides are free?
This is where I would usually put stuff. Can't think of anything right now... =/

Yeah I was wearing pink but never met a stranger when I was there. Never went on Lost Coaster either.
