^ Ok that wasn't funny. Anyway, this is unfortunate but it does seem there won't be a huge lawsuit considering the circumstances. Let's just hope this is the only death in an amusement park this year.
Does it say how much he was under the requirments? Because usually parks make the minimum height higher than what the real minimum is just to be safe. I've never been on the ride, so I don't know what the layout is or anything. This is horrible that this happened, but it is a warning not to ride unsafely.
From one article, it states there have been 37 ride-related incidents since October 2001 at the WDW parks alone. Only open since 2003, 7 of the 37 incidents were with Mission: Space.
Probably why they have warnings EVERYWHERE before you get on that ride. It clearly states atleast 5 times before you ride that you shouldn't ride if you think you can't handle the forces. Hell it even said it in spanish once or twice.

My question is this: when she was found at the end of the ride, was the taffy lodged in her throat or not? Because if it was, there is no 100% sure way to determine if she died because of the heart problem or the taffy.

I don't believe this thread is about Raging Bull.
You also have to look at the numbers that these parks bring in. The most visited theme-park resort destinationin the world is the Walt Disney World resort in Florida. When I hear of an accident, I am not surprised. There are just so many people its just bound to happen.
Now there have been accidents on Mission:SPACE before. But it is a very intense ride. I have ridden it three times, and I feel dizzy for 30 seconds after I get off, then it's gone. If someone can't follow directions, then it IS NOT the parks fault, but the riders.

i completely agree, its just the same as those people who find it necessary to stand on rides or try to do one click rides as well.
This story while sad, reminds us to always follow the saftey requirements for everyride.

If you're going to quote anyone, quote Drkstarboard. I'm not the one that started the RB conversation. And if you have a problem with me, which you've already stated you have in another topic, please PM me ASAP so that I know what it is.
As intense as MS is why would you let a 4 year old go on it? There is so much force against you that a mother should know better then to even take a chance putting a 4 year old on the ride. I mean a child that young is still developing critical bone mass a muscular tissues, can you imagine how much of a beating that kids spine and espiccally the neck area took? I feel that this was just a bad call by the parent.

Thats the whole point. If I were the mother I wouldnt have let my kid anywhere near that ride if he was only 4. I mean I have never been on it, but a lot of people have said that there are signs warning you. Even thought im really sorry for the family it's the parents fault for letting him on.
The requirements for the ride should not limit four year olds to ride it. That's the problem. So, the height limit should be taller even if the kid can still fit in the seat. I truly am sorry for the family.

I was thinking the same thing!! I mean I in no way want to blame the mother espically for the loss of her child but it's kind of hard not to. When I heard this on the news the 1st thing I said is "They BETTER not try to sue the park" That seems to be the general trend nowadays.
My condolences to the family also.

Hey. I'm not the one who asked the question. I just said that the 4 year old might have had a condision that he didn't know about LIKE the girl who died on Raging Bull.
It's green. It's blue. It's all over you! Enjoy your ride on Déjà Vu
