havent heard about this but if it does close, it will be for a fairly short time, due to new ownership.

Once Cedar Fair finally spent some capital and put in the Gerstlauer Spinner they were rewarded by the mall telling them to get the hell out and had their contract broken, so naturally the park has to tear out all the peanuts stuff.

On the plus side Triple 5 really know how to outfit a mall park with the neat stuff, they own West Edmonton Mall and they just put a bunch of Spectacular Euro Flats in there :)

Well, this is obviously made out to be a joke. Basically because of the Rumsfeld jokes.

BUT, I thought the nice small amusement park was changing ownership, so does anyone know more about the status of that?

Hopefully when I go out to Valleyfair or IF I get out to Valleyfair I'll get to go there before it closes.

The Onion is the best source for satirical "news" on the net, and it is available as its normal newspaprer form in major cities or by subscription.

The news articles are not actual stories, but send ups of current events.

Hope this clears up the confusion.

"Rumsfield You Blockhead" - good one.
It's the most fun in the park when your laughing in the dark.

If they do happen to actually close it'd only be for a few days (I do realize that it was an Onion article, but alot of rides will eventually need to be rethemed/renamed) and they would probably do it all at once :)
