Did the Orient Express have an accident before it was defunct?

Years ago the last car derailed in the helix, leaving the back car hanging off the track and one person was ejected from the car onto the ground. I dont believe anyone died though, that was in the late 90's, early 00's. I dont remember the cause, I think it may have been a problem with the track vs. a problem with the train, but I dont remember the exact details.

After that it's popularity declined somewhat, and due to maintaince reasons they only ran one train, and it was an overall maintaince headache, and a pretty crappy ride, so they decided to remove it, and it's land sits vacant awaiting future expansion (i realize they built the spinning coaster, but that occupies a extraordinarily small piece of OE's land, and technically that was just queue in that area) :)
