Nope, I'm always going with one of my parents. I tried to once though on closing day in 2003, didn't work out too well. I'm usually riding all the rides by myself too unless I meet up with someone.

I have gone solo many of times. I like to get a morning jog in before work. Whats better then jogging from parking lot to AE and back. I will pick one or 2 roller coasters to hit along the way. Being solo I can usually re ride a few times. This is really good when the season starts and mostly is just the schools. However I am looking forward to this summer. Its going to be nice that there will be showers at HH. I can do a jog, take in a water slide, shower then head off to work. Its nice working 2nd shift :D

I like going by myself, I usually ride and converse with people as I go on through the day. Its kind of nice to because I like to ride a lot and you dont have to worry about the rest of your group if you have one with you saying they dont want to ride.

I'm at various parks alone many times. My family doesn't share my passion for coasters so I go quite often by myself. Often times I'm able to visit a park while traveling on business so naturally I'm alone then also.

It can be a little awkward at times but as a single rider I usually try hard to find another single rider. Some parks that do que management in the stations even try to help match up single riders. I also watch for people trying to pair up with others in their group and offer to adjust my position in line if it helps them out. More often than not they have me go ahead of them.

well in 2003, i walked around the magic kingdom at disney by myself, and it was lonely. I did for a bit this year when i was there too, I was lonely and didn't want to go on big rides by myself.

it's better alone you can cut and get on a ride when there is one open seat unlike waiting for the next train for your group of 4. People will let you cut to get on.

I do most of the time. (Anyone who has met me at GAm knows that) It doesn't feel weird for me at all. I get to take advantage of the single rider lines, which is a plus.

I went once by my self, no fun, Six Flags is more a social outing than about the rollercoasters.

I hate riding by myself, considering my parents arnt that fond of rides and neither are my friends (but i can presuade them to ride) i do it every once in a while. I feel really lonely and i hate standing in line because thats all you do, stand. you dont talk to anyone and you get really bored (especally waiting for RB or anyother long wait) i pass up alot of rides like that sadly. Yet again im only 13, when im older i probably wont care as much.
Next SFGAm trip: heck I know...

I don't think I'd have as much fun if I was to go by myself. Half the fun is making the memories with my friends.
After all, there is nothing more fun than having eight 20 year olds take over Spacely's! 8)

I've gone by myself once, it wasn't that bad because I got there at opening and got to go on whatever I wanted and didn't have to listen to my friends saying they didn't want to ride some ride and such.

I go by myself all the time. I usually end up meeting new people - especially up at SFGAM because of the season pass holders line. Thats how I've met most of the people that I know on these boards.

Be somewhat outgoing, but not creepy.

Yes, and no. I go with my family, my wife who does not ride coasters with the exception of Whizzer, and my two kids, 3 1/2, and 1 1/2 years old, so when I go on the coasters, I end up standing alone in line, and riding alone.

I will go ride rides by myself if no body else wants to go. But I have found it is much more fun to share the experience with someone. Sure, it's fun while it lasts, but then you got nobody to talk about it with, or wait in line again with, or even wait in line in the first place. I would really only ride a ride by myself under extreme conditions (i.e. only chance to ride).

No, the worst was some creepy almost homeless type guy down at SFSTL on 4/17. I don't know who he was, but man did he freak me out. Realize that I do haunted houses for fun, and horror movies are light entertainment for me. Imagine what kind of person it would take to bother me, and you get a pretty good picture of him.

Every person that I have met from this board has been very helpful (Especially Dankhockey04 & Planea380), and a lot of fun to hang out with. It is almost like its own community, and I think that speaks volumes for the site itself.

By far the most interesting and entertaining person has been Mr. Papas. I hope to run into him again this year when he's not working. I was with him on Halloween last year. I have never seen someone who has such enthusiasm for Roller Coasters. It had to have been his 30th or more time at the park that season (judging from his ride counts), yet he still ran around like a kid at a candy store. There were points where I wanted to pop him with a tranquilizer dart just to keep up with him. After all I am a bit older and larger than him. I especially liked it when he rode Raging Bull at closing time wearing only jeans and a T-shirt (He wanted to go shirtless, but didn't want to break the rules). When it was all over with, I couldn't help but just admire his energy and have a new understanding for the saying "youth is wasted on the young".
