Hey guys! did u hear the news! SFNE is opening a mr. six ride called "Mr.Six Pandemoneum" heres the press release:
Agawam, MA – February 22, 2005 - Six Flags New England is opening not one, but two new coasters in 2005 - one wet and one wild! The two new family thrill rides include Mr. Six's Pandemonium, the first ever coaster inspired by the fun loving dance moves of Six Flags' popular ambassador of fun, Mr. Six; and Typhoon, a cutting-edge water coaster powered by exclusive "Rocket Booster" technology.
"The two coasters we're creating offer incredibly unique experiences designed to be shared with family and friends," said Mark Kane, Six Flags New England vice president and general manager. "Their selection, specifically for this park, continues our ongoing commitment to providing excellent guest service and a promise of good times for our visitors."
Dancing five stories above the ground, Mr. Six's Pandemonium will take park Guests on an all-new ride experience creating a new spin on the typical roller coaster. Face-to-face in individual 4-person cars, Guests will enjoy more than a quarter mile of totally unique fun, shared with family and friends. This roller coaster spins like a top while moving up and down through hairpin turns and plummeting spirals. Each ride that Guests take on Mr. Six's Pandemonium will be different, just like the master of playtime himself. No other coaster will leave you dizzy with laughter like Mr. Six's Pandemonium!
Making a huge splash at Hurricane Harbor, Typhoon will offer park goers a unique thrill only to be experienced at Hurricane Harbor. Typhoon offers an extreme 3-person rafting experience. The water coaster's rocket propelled water and conveyer belts blast riders though a serpentine series of high bank turns, enclosed tunnels and up hill climbs at racing speeds. Typhoon's technology includes higher and faster uphill sections than any existing water coaster in the country. The thrill of a traditional coaster gets "all wet" with the 2005 debut of Typhoon!
"When we considered adding two new coasters to Six Flags New England's already spectacular line-up, we knew we had to create something as grand and legendary as the park itself, so we called in the expert on family fun, Mr. Six," said Mark Kane, Six Flags New England vice president and general manager. "His fun-loving style and wild dance moves provided the perfect inspiration for Mr. Six's Pandemonium."
"The Typhoon water coaster is also a perfect fit for our park," Kane added. "Hurricane Harbor is by far the biggest and most popular water park in New England and we continue to make it even better. The new water coaster technology employed by Typhoon offers our patrons an action packed thrill ride that also beats the summer heat!"
Mr. Six's Pandemonium will debut in early Spring 2005 and Typhoon will make its debut with the opening of the 2005 season at Hurricane Harbor. Six Flags New England opens for the 2005 season on April 16.

actually, I didn't think any park would use the Mr. Six name. the thing is, after Mr. Six loses his popularity, SF will have to move on to other marketing techniques, but the parks will be stuck with a ride named after a no longer popular and no longer used marketing gimmick. the Pandemoneum name is a wise choice since the signs can easily drop the Mr. Six's part and rely on the Pandemoneum name after Mr. Six is gone.
I don't have a detonator; its on a timer.
A countdown timer?
No, a count-up timer. It goes from one to explode.
I wonder if it will be similar to Rajun Cajun but only your facing each other. I am sure it is like or is a spinning wild mouse.
And I bet that since Six Flags is using Mr. Six's name for a ride, the are planning to have Mr. Six as their mascot for a long long time. They would not use it if they seriously thought that there was a chance that his 2004 fame was just a fluke.
Many Mascots were introduced and stayed for years because of fame Ronald McDonald, the Indiana Beach Cow they stay in your mind forever

it is a Gerstlauer Spinning Coaster, similar to the ones at Mall of America and Worlds of Fun (SFNE's will be the 3'rd). Easily one of the best spinning coasters I've ridden. Excellent choice for SFNE, now if only SFGAm had gotten one instead of Ragin Cajun

Also, SFA announced "Hurricane Harbor". It will be a retheme of their waterpark and it will include 2 major additions. A proslide tornado, a Mammoth slide, and a new kid waterplay area.
All of the new Proslide Tornado's are starting to get old. I think that the Mr. Six name for a roller coaster is kind of lame, but it will bring in more people.
Also, do you guys consider water coasters as a roller coaster? I only do if it has track.

I think that's a great name for a spinning ride, Pandemoneum. However, saying Mr. Six's Pandemoneum seems just stupid. Does a Mascot make a place be great? I'm can't be too sure that people go to Cedar Point because of Snoopy. People might go to a place like Disney because of a mascot like a Mickey, but Mr. Six is not going to influence younger kids.
"I've been staring at the world, waiting. All the trouble and all the pain we're facing. Too much light to be livin' in the dark. Why waste time? We only got one life. Together we can be the CHANGE. So go and let your heart burn bright"
Yes, it is a similar type of ride at Magic Waters, But at Magic Waters it is a Master Blaster by NBGS International where this one is a Proslide Rocket, Which uses a conveyer system instead of water jets to push you up hill.
I'm very interested to see how the conveyor system works out. The jets on Splashblaster at Magic Waters are very powerful and very reliable. The only problem is when people don't hold on and fall out. It sucks if you are waiting in a slow moving line. The only problem with the water coasters are that they are capacity nightmares and are a novelty item with the general public. Be prepared to wait for any watercoaster.
ZIP coaster sounds vaugly dangerous, at least to me. Riding unrestranted in a raft, with high speed rubber conveyor belts a various places around the ride. Of course I'd still ride it, and a majority of the riders will have no problem, but that is one ride where we can wait for bad news and it will eventually come.)
Does still look like a neat ride though, just wish the loading station was on the ground, seeing as it uses conveyor belts anyways to lift boats uphill.

Mr. Six's Pandemonium... I can already see the theming. They'll probably definately have one of those tall Mr. Six blowing things like SFGAm has behind Demon's sign.
It's cool that Six Flags is giving some of the "overlooked" (as people like to call them) parks some attention. The additions for SFNE look really great, and SFA is getting a big Hurricane Harbor makeover. Not to mention all of the Tornados.
