When A ride is relocated, how do you count them? Are they new credits? whats your take?
For me, if the ride has been relocated to a new park, I consider it a new credit. As Technically speaking, that ride while relocated has been added as a new attraction to said park.
I don't however consider Backwards coasters as new credits, although an argument can be made about that actually being a new credit as well.
In my opinion, it's not a new credit. Because it's still the same ride but just in a different location. But if there were changes to the ride such as new inversions, hills, etc.. added, then yes, I would consider it as a new credit.

Agreed, This would also make every time a travelling coaster runs a brand new credit.
I wouldn't even count changes in the track, except for major rebuilds, as a new credit. Texas Giant before and after, sure. Son of Beast before and after the loop, no.
Depends if I've ridden it or not. Aftershock at Silverwood would not be a new credit to me. But if Goliath from SFNE got relocated here, I'd count that as I've never ridden it.

I agree with this 100%.

Same ride, same layout, different location, same credit. Same ride, different layout, regardless of location, new credit. Same ride, backwards cars, regardless of location, same credit. Alpine Coaster, credit. Powered Coaster, credit.
That is all.

I count is as new because I consider a different location the factor that plays in to call it a new credit. Different surroundings leads to a new ride experience. I've been on Flying Coaster at Elitch Gardens and then rode it again when it got moved to Coney Island (which is right on the beach) and I still consider it 2 separate credits.
Back when I did keep a credit list I would count them as one. While I understand the argument that the location plays a large roll on the ride (I can't help but think of Batman: Knight Flight's relocation removing water as an example), I just happen to disagree.

Same coaster. I don't agree with the whole "new soundings" argument. If that were the case, then you could consider Spacely Sprocket Rockets a new coaster because it will be sounded by Goliath now. Technically it could be 3 separate credits: -With Iron Wolf -No Iron Wolf -With Goliath
it is a new ride technically even if it is over 20 years old....so yeah I would consider it a new credit. iron Wolf is dead. Gone. It is Apocalypse now.
I count it as a new credit. While Iron Wolf was at SFGAm for 20 years then moved to SF America, SF America still gained one coaster from the deal. While it may not be a 'new' coaster, it's new to them and adds to their coaster count. Same goes for Goliath at SFNE, while it was a relocated coaster, it still added to their count and is new to them.
I count it as a new credit for the most part. If it's a traveling coaster, I count it as the same, or one was was built identical as is (Ragin' Cajun, for example). However, if it's one that provides a new experience, then I count it as new. Apocolypse at SFA I consider as new, because when I rode it as Iron Wolf I didn't get all that theming before which changes my experience. That, to me, is a new credit.
Traveling coaster: no Clone: yes Relocation: If it has much more theming or is indoors, yes. If its the same, no. Example, Iron Wolf/Apocalypse is. Ragin Cajun is not.

Used coaster, no credit, unless the ride itself has been substantially changed. New theming, surroundings, minor elements, and re-tracking shouldn't count, but if major changes were made to the ride elements from start to finish (Texas Giant, Iron Rattler) then it's as good as a new ride in my opinion.
How do you guys count rides with different sides ie space mountain american eagle or primevil whirl. I count them as different but I am curious what everybody else thinks.
