I found this rather interesting article that someone wrote and figured I would share it.
I know I have said it before on here and ill say it again. This park is on a serious downhill slide and needs help. But this article really hits the ball out of the park when it comes to pointing out the problems and offering up solutions to fix them.
The operations have been awful, from all the times I remember. The ride ops are horrendously slow and rude.
I was there with a friend last year for coasters after dark. It kinda sucked....
Hades is easily a 3 train coaster, and it has one short train (I know I know... there is no where for a transfer - but I'm sure they could figure it out).
Thank god for Cyclops. That ride rules. And it's not big enough to get the wear and tear the 2 biggies gets - so the track never gets too rough. Plus, it doesn't have all the extra weight of the PTC ratchet bars and related locking mechanisms, so the train isn't as a huge burden as it is on Zues and Hades. Both of which are horrible condition...
It's too bad, that park could really be something great.
And what's up with ankle snapping curbs all over the park? That's death waiting to happen...
Granted ALOT of those were dumb, But they were better things than what the park's added since 2007 (Wave Pool, Lazy River, Pay Rides, Beach, Family Water Play Area)
Hades was designed with 2 trains in mind. The park just cheaped out over time and never added the extra car, or the extra train. It's the only park I will never return to regardless what they add in the future unless there is a complete management change and major changes are made.

@Justin - 2 trains would be great for Hades, and is very basic. But the ride is very well fit to run 3.
I really should invest time in writing the letter I have been promising to Mt. Olympus, instead of complain about the place so much.
Shame, it's the best of both worlds: worst run park but some of the best coasters (well, Cyclops still rocks anyway; the other 2 are there, just under all that neglect).
Mt Olympus is in the lodging industry, not the amusement industry, their attractions are just an "added" feature to their lodging. Which is sad people people are stupid enough to pay for it year after year. I will say, the GP doesn't mind all the issues that we the enthusiasts cringe about. People will wait 2+ hours for Superman at SFGAm, what's 1+ hour for Hades in the eyes of the GP? The GP most likely assumes that going to an amusement park will entail waiting in long lines so it must not bother them. I remember being there for an ACE event in 08 and someone asked the owner about not having 2 trains on anything. He said that he never wants a possibility of a coaster colliding (what he really meant though is that he is too cheap). Also in his mind, if a guest isn't able to do everything all in one day then the guests will stay even longer...which means for money. I'm not going to lie, the owner is a genius in the sense that he is able to maintain a park on such a low cost and the people keep coming in year after year. The location also helps this as well. The whole place is just a white trash tourist trap where visitors expect to pay money just because they are on vacation...just like they would expect to pay high prices at a baseball game or on a cruise.
While the park is doomed in my eyes, at least the other attractions in the Dells that I enjoy visiting are still kicking pretty strongly. The 03-06 Dells boom was short lived, but I'm sure another is on it's way. From what I hear from my friends and family that live nearby and have been visiting for years, the whole city goes through swings of up and down phases. Hopefully, things start looking up in the near future again.

I wouldn't go that far. I would say It's to a good park as Millennium Force is a great coaster. Big, Huge, and Amazing to look at; But a bore when you experience it.

I would 100% go that far. When your first aid has no clue what to do with a cut and then things having a woman rub her hand on it is a good idea, you suck as part. There is not a single good thing about that place other than the feeling of leaving and never coming back.
Anyone who visits Mt. Olympus and expects anything more than 2 or 3 wooden coasters with the potential to be great (if maintained properly) deserves what they get. As long as there is no competition in the Dells (coaster-wise) and their go-carts continue to look as impressive as they do, people will go there and will tolerate everything that comes with them. This is one park that I don't think would be that much better off if guest experience was a priority.
Lucky for me that I last visited when Hades was fairly new and delivering.
