Very exciting but odd to see this... Saw it last night & sent it to a bunch of friends. It has the 95degree+ towers like a halfpipe but large like an impulse....what do you think?!

TRANSLATION(not perfect but youll be able to understand):

The roller coaster manufacturer Intamin has clammy and secretly developed a new prototype that will triumph in the Chinese Kingdom Theme Park in 2012 to celebrate its premiere. The Impulse Coaster Top Side is a mixture of half pipe, a new type of train with seats either side of the rail and overhanging, almost 60 meters high and steep ramps.

The 32-seater train in detail
As with the known impulse coaster, an inverted coaster with LIM drive is at the "top side" version of the 32-passenger train out of the station with a few swings to the top of the vertically placed, 180 accelerates semicircle. After 20 seconds the train at the top and swings from one to another ramp with a maximum speed of about 110 kilometers per hour. Here, the train is at its highest position about 10 ° above the steep ramp, which is intensified when the riders the feeling of weightlessness at the reversal points. Gravity, pressure in the vertical acceleration radii and that new thrusts on the station line will alternate.

Implemented, the program challenging driving through a water-cooled LSM drive the latest generation, as he has already come on Cheetah Hunt at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay and I-Speed in the Italian Mirabilandia used. Unlike most Mitwerbern needed in-house development by Intamin only one stator row, making the train less permanent magnets and therefore less weight should be attached. Nevertheless reached the LSM system electromagnetic acceleration of about 1g.

Completely new is the four-unit train. Instead of sitting under the rail passengers as when Zac Intamin spinning next to the rail with no ground under their feet. A total of 32 passengers while the U-bend of the shuttle speeds up coaster, with the seats back to back in groups of four locked firmly to the chassis. Eight seats per car left and right of the track are combined into two groups of four, placed back to back. Accelerate the passengers depending on seating choice in the initial momentum from the station either forward or backward. The interaction with the people sitting opposite each other is a successful move. Just two meters away from each other are the seating surfaces, resulting in the feet can almost touch.

An emphasis is also the newly composed track: This appears on the latest developments from Intamin build. As with the 93-meter high Gigacoaster Intimidator 305 or the fastest roller coaster in the world, Formula Rossa at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, the pipes by means of cone-rail cross bars are connected to the bottom chord. In addition, with an underlying this second Untergurtsystem is stiffened by a truss. The massive rail carries the train up to almost 60 meters high, with the highest rest stop about 25 meters above the ground. , Giving the structure a very sleek appearance.

The Impulse Coaster Top Side will celebrate its premiere in the Kingdom triumph in Tianjin, China. The big city is an hour's drive from the capital Beijing, and is located on the Yellow Sea. The approximately 15-acre first phase of the park offers a selection of steel roller coasters of the Golden Horse Chinese manufacturer, including a spinning, and an inverted looping coaster. Also, two water rides are installed. The Impulse Coaster Top Side will go online in 2012.

Honestly, I rather see what they do to Deja Vu at New England with the new train than this ride. So, it's a little bigger than the other Half-Pipe. I'm not that thrilled about this ride, but it's not like I'm going to China in anytime soon anyway.

This would make a good addittion to the former Iron Wolf area. ALthough id rather see the new S&S power concept coaster go there and being built with all the trees and the old iron wolf area I hope they dont cut them all down.

This would be an interesting coaster to have at our park, but i dont think SFGAm would do that. Then you have two impluse coasters on one side of the park. And i believe that V2 offers more of a thrill factor.

Not htis big, itd be too repeative lookin to have four tall towers in one area like that, I think even GP would know they look the same. HOWEVER, Ive always wanted a basic halfpipe for our park & make a skate like show much like "All wheels extreme" at CP. I thought itd be neat to have a halpipe show with a coaster that represented a halfpipe. :)
