Basically what station has the worst layout. I can think of some...
Viper (SFGAm)- Viper's station is just too big. Add that to no grouper and the station can become a real mess.
V2 (SFGAm)- V2 is another mess. For V2 a station wait is 15-20 mins because of it's horrible capacity. Add that to the fact that it is really loud with the train going thourgh makes it a bad expierence.
Iron Wolf- IW's was probably the worst. Instead of most stations where the queue comes in at the center of the station, some bozo decided to cram the queue in right where the front row is. The station was also really small so trying to get past the people waiting for front row was very difficult
Gemini- Now i had to problem with Gemini besides for the fact that they had the entire 3rd and 4th cars sealed off to make it "easier" for th ride ops. But unlike say American Eagle You board in the center of the station. I bet it doesn't take much for the lines to interlock and again you can barely get thorough
Riddler's Revenge- I haven't been to SFMM but i've seen pictures and in the station the line basically forms a zigzag. Turned to the right about 45 degrees.
Riddlers Revenge no question. The station itself isn't so bad, it's actually decently themed (normal Time Warner Era type theming), however the lack of crowd control makes it unbearable. Think Viper with no ventalation and Southern California desert heat, I stopped going on the ride if it was really hot or moderately busy because of it. Plus the same song has been playing over and over all day every day for 14 years which is just extremely redundant when your waiting in the station for 1/2 hour.
As far as worst station goes for design and cosmetic aspects it's definitely Nitro. It's basically a tin box with random faded out pink steel staircases leading up to them and the logo looks like someone had diarrhea and pulled down their pants and took a crap all over it. Getting in line for it, waiting in the chain link fence walkway up to the grey box station it feels more like getting marched into Auschwitz than going to ride an awesome B&M hypercoaster. I think in the board room they said what is the cheapest looking thing we can possibly do and kept drilling until they came up with that. the "hey lets build a big random sheet metal steel structure surrounded with chain link fences in the middle of the woods" irks me, it just doesnt look right. Sometimes simple gets the point across and looks nice, sometimes you end up with a big tin box. I get the same feeling around Bizarro, it just looks ridiculous. When you walk up to it I think the natural reaction is WTF is this big random comic book strip and purple and blue roller coaster doing in the middle of a Frontierland themed area. Not trying to sound like one of those people that will complain about everything that is not completely cohesive, I mean BTR doesn't fit Yankee Harbor at all but it still looks OK. BTR in Southwest Territory...well you get the idea.
Also somoene's gotta give a shout out to Mt Olympus for having more gates in the stations than they have rows on the trains. If I remember right, Cyclops and Hades for some reason has an additional car in the station.
You know your at Mt Olympus when something like this perfectly normal and not questioned
Also Hersheypark has to win the award for most bizarre "single riders policy" if you could call it that, which consists of having a sign in the stations saying to pair up with other people in the middle of the train.
I don't really get how they expect this to work and apparently neither does anyone else because everyone ignores it, but you can chalk it up to Hersheypark having a random assortment of signs in their queues that do have purpose but worded in a way you can't tell if they are trying to be funny or not
Top Thrill Dragster can get pretty crowded, and confusing.
Viper at SFGAm is the WORST STATION EVER... with no ride operator keeping track of people as they come in, the station gets crazy. Unless your patient enough to hold up the line yourself at the door to calm the station down.
Kraken - The fact there is no real airflow outdoors in FL is a killer. Plus two of the rows are blocked off for their quick que and you never know when a premium AP member gets a re-ride.
Screamin' Eagle - The first row at the station entrance is the front row. A vast majority of the time, Rows 5 on are empty.
Mr. Freeze - Not only a mess but no AC in STL in the summer.
Viper and Deja Vu with no grouper. Batman the Ride because they don't want to insert an actual rail inside the tunnel in the middle - when you either choose the front row, or the other rows. Thus, people wait for front row, and they don't even know they are waiting for front row, or they just stop without going in.
For Iron Wolf, I'll tell you what really happened. It's Six Flags messing it up. They added the Flash Pass, and thus you have a lot of confusion with it. One line was front row, and the Flash Pass line was all other rows!
For the person said Screamin Eagle, your right. That is a tight squeeze.
I do think Top Thrill Dragster station and V2 are too big. I think Demon's and Superman's exit are too big. I think American Eagle should have it's turnstyle in a different place like what they did for Batman the Ride. Maybe, add automatic gates like V2.
In my opinion, a station like Raptor, or Raging Bull are how stations should be. Make them small, and make the exits close. If you have 2 people a row for a train, why are they making it to fit about 8-10 people, and you know that people will not wait. That's what happened with Deja Vu, and without a person stopping people for Viper, it would be mass chaos too. They will cram in the station like anything. Also, to me they should enter from the middle instead of the side like Iron Wolf.
