Cedar Point makes 2004 announcement

Talk about anything that has to do with the amusement park industry here.
Postby CoasterDave316 on November 13th, 2003, 3:44 pm
Cedar Point is building castaway bay, a indoor waterpark resort that will open in November of 2004 and it will feature a Master Blaster (which is a water coaster)http://castawaybay.cedarpoint.com/public/pressrelease.cfmI like this addition, gives people a reason to go to the park in the winter. Im not really a big fan of waterparks, but I have seen the Master Blaster on a few Travel Channel shows and it looks pretty awesome.

Dave, you don't have to travel far to get on a Master Blaster. They have one at Magic Waters near Rockford.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

You know it is funny that I have lived in Rockford all my life and I have never been to Magic Waters. I am not a big fan of water parks as it is and after going to the Disney water parks I didn't want to lower myself to Magic Waters. People tell me it is dirty and nothing special. I have driven by the park many times on I-39 and it looks just bad.Chitown, the link you provided is really funny because the park is nothing like the art work and pictures. The Master Blaster sits on the edge of the park and is next to the highway. There really are not any trees around the ride and the pictures on the site are not even of the Master Blaster at the park. The ride is cream colored and it looks like DeJaVu's paint job.in my opinion Nobody should waste their time coming out here for that.

I go to Magic Waters all the time and would have to disagree with you all about the park. It is actually really nicely themed to the Carribean and has a nice selection of attractions. Splashblaster is actually a really fun ride, even with very low capacity. I'd reccomend coming to the park if you haven't ridden a master blaster before and they are also adding a new ride next season, so I would check it out. It is a very nice surprise that Radisson will be receiving one of these things!

It gets real crowded. It is unfair of me to judge a park that I have never been to, but I hear comments and reviews all the time. The reason the park gets so crowded is because of all the grade school kids. I am in my twenties and the park does not appeal to me. Even when I was in high school I really did not know of any other students going to the park. It is a great place for parents to drop off jr. high student to hang out with other kids.I know Chitown has metioned a daughter and she would love Magic Waters, but I believe Dave is around my age and he most likely wouldn't enjoy it.My opinion is based on what others have told me and what I have seen. I could be wrong.

The park actually can get really busy on weekends. Parents do have a great in the lazy river and the wave pool etc. Yes, you can fall out of the raft if you don't hold on to the handle bars on the side. It happens a lot.

There's also a Master Blaster. At the Kalarhari Resort- Indoor Waterpark. In Wisconsin Dells. The Kalahari is the best hotel I've ever stayed at.Also they are building a Kalahari Resort near Cedar Point. Just thought I'd tell you.

This water coaster and all looks like some great gimmicks. Once again, one upping what is at SFWoA... we get new fast tall waterslides... theirs goes uphill. I don't care, I'm not a fan for either, I love them both. I just really want to see a hyper coaster at SFWoA... but it's not going to happen because... *cough cough*... did I say that? No I don't know for sure, management didn't tell me anything!
