Holiday World & Splashin' Safari 2012 Announcement

Talk about anything that has to do with the amusement park industry here.
Postby boilermaker4life on July 29th, 2011, 8:45 pm
Holiday World & Splashin' Safari are set to announce their $9 million new addition(s) for the 2012 season next wednesday, August 3 at 11 am. What do you think it's going to be? From their twitter:

Getting calls from the news media regarding next Wednesday's BIG announcement for 2012. (Did I mention it's a $9 million investment?)

Next Wednesday's announcement for 2012 includes something for @HolidayWorld and something else for @SplashinSafari.

Let the speculation begin, but hurry! The announcement is just days away!

With the great line-up of woodies they have, id like to see them shake it up a bit with a steel coaster maybe. As to what kind? I can see a maverick/stormrunner type coaster fitting in quite well.

^If it's only a $9 million dollar investiment, it's pretty safe to say B&M isn't part of the picture, especially if that money includes something for both HW and SS.

I'd laugh if it was all water park then their "big" part investment was mentioned as new trains on Voyage.

How about a Premier coaster like Kennywood has?

^I don't know if you are serious, but they already have a watercoaster they just built recently - Wildebeest.

It does looks pretty sweet for what it is. Sucks though now I have to wake up early again next year for waterpark ERT during HWN.

I wanna say that they are going to be putting in a new area but what would they call it? Christmas Halloween Fourth of July and Thanksgiving are all taken? I guess they could have Easter; with spinning eggs and a few candy stores and a giant frog hop rethemes to the bunny hop. Or St Patrick's Day where the section is just a big bar lol. If it is not a new area then my bet is something to definately go in their water park as i dont think that they have put in anything for their water park in a long time.

Well the park has stated before that in their very long term plans they want the dry park to completely encircle the waterpark. Gotta guess they have a few more holidays lined up. If I had to take a guess I'd say Easter is probably next, maybe they can get April Fools Day in somehow :)
