Thorpe Park 2012

We all know about the many predicaments were in for in 2012, whether you believe in it or not, you've heard about it so this is probably the most awesome coaster concept/theme I could ever think of & will hopefully become a reality. I really happen to love this LC12 concept. A rumor, yes rumor, is that this may be the one that spins. Now wouldn't that be some $h!+ Haha.

Yeah, I posted it in the dear B&M thread, it is better suited here though.

I don't see B&M doing spinning seats unless they find a foolproof way of doing it. Though I think we all know that B&M always plays it safe and have come to terms with that. If you want cutting edge thrill machines you go elsewhere (like say Intamin or in this case S&S), if you want something safe, reliable and proven that's going to appeal to the widest range of audiences then you give B&M a call.

I wouldn't mind though seeing a really huge one of these, I think the seating arrangement is especially well suited for vertical drops or even vertical loops could be interesting, at least in the front row.

Oh sorry, I don't read up on that thread too much as I thought it was just for that "smart prototype kid" but I'm glad were willin to discuss it in its own topic.

I know B&M always plays it safe, because they don't want issues, but what I'm lovin about them right now is their "boldness" in recent designs. I mean have you seen "Starry night ripper?!" That's like a vekoma intamin haha.

As for the elements, I think twists/rolls/heartlines, corkscrews, & immelman/diveloops are all we can see from this design, seein a vertical loop would have to be very spread due to the train design. If you took a regular vertical loop & put it on one of these wing riders, it would hit the entrance of the loop in its exit. Get what I'm sayin?

They can design around it, just needs a little more lateral travel in the loop.

For Starry Night Ripper it literally looks like the park went to B&M and said we want a Vekoma Flyer, but with your reliability. So they put in all the usual Vekoma elements, a regular vertical loop, horseshoe turn, double inline twist etc. Luckily Vekoma and B&M have a very close relationship, so Vekoma won't go and say, "Hey, wait a minute!"

Haha well all ideas come from somewhere but its the really twisted heartline roll thing haha I'm loving the RCT like halftwist upside down first drop on LC12. From that to the theming, I'm lovin it all. Its just so genius to me to market(if they do it right)a end of the world coaster for 2012!
