It may be one of a few things: 1 Flying Coaster, 2 LIM Coaster, 3 Bob Sleigh Coaster (though I think this has a very low probability), My money is on a Flying Coaster why not beat Tatsu out for something bigger and badder?
It's most likely a prototype flat. How often does Cedar Point build new styles of rides that haven't been tested out at other parks? I know in the past they've had a lot of new, next-gen rides put in before other parks and this could be another.
Top 3 Steel Coasters: 1. The Incredible Hulk 2. Maverick 3. Dragon Challenge (Fireball)
Top 3 Wood Coasters: 1. The Beast 2. American Eagle (Red) 3. Hades

Where exactly did they announce that the new ride in 2011 would not be a roller coaster already...?
I usually follow that blog and they announced that the new ride for 2010 wasn't a roller coaster barely a few weeks before the announcement of Shoot the Rapids. Maybe I just missed this..

No new coaster since 2007 going into 2011 ... SFMM is adding a coaster which ties them with CP ... I feel like they may just HAVE to add a new coaster big or small
Well Cedar Point released their first clue which is IEItRmA, basically AIRtImE as an anagram. That basically means that it will be a roller coaster, because the other rumor was a sky swing like they used to have in the lake. We know it is going to target thrill seekers, might have the name Stratosoar, and it will bring back memories. I think wooden roller coaster named cyclone hopefully...

How can a starflyer get any airtime, its basically a glorified chair swing, it just goes up and down instead of tilting?

Wow, now I feel stupid. It's just when I think of airtime I think of backseat of raging bull on the first drop, that's some good stuff. I think Cedar Point would also mean roller coaster airtime, because roller coasters is what they are known for. I mean stratosoar would be a perfect name for a starflyer but who knows which park is going to get the starflyer cedar fair registered the name, not cedar point. The only thing good about that clue is that it means no B&M flyer, unless they work miracles because flyers just are not known for airtime. I really hope it is a wooden coaster. I just went on Mean Streak I don't remember being that rough last time I was there, last time it was enjoyable, this time sweet lord I was in pain (blue streak is awesome though). Also, the biggest clue in my opinion is that they said intaride would not make this roller coaster.

Just a little update, Cedar Point has been posting clues on their facebook in the form of pictures. Number 1 was a wind generator farm style and number 2 was a dinosaur. Also they have announced Tuesday Aug. 24th as the official date they will release information, btw does anyone know when SFGam will announce 2011 plans. About the clues clearly you have the word "saur" in dinosaur, so maybe a hint there, we already know the name might be stratosaur, the other clue points you to a website in Utah (maybe S&S hint not sure). Does anyone have any ideas about what these hints might mean?
