Earthquake in the midwest?

I guess I'm sheltered but I've never heard of one around here. Couldn't have been that big right?

The quake was a 4.5. Pretty strong for Illinois along no major fault line.

I was trying to sleep around that time, and I remember I could feel the house shaking a bit. I didn't notice it or think about it, I thought it may have just been me.

I felt an after shock but slept through the main quake.

After looking at the sismographs, I dont think there was an aftershock.

Ahhh... sorry i didnt know were to put this subject.... I'll remember that for the nex time i make a topic and its not about Six Flags. But yeah the epicenter is about 15 minutes from my house..... it shook my house really bad.... And yes it was 4.5 on the richter scale and it occured about 2 miles northeast of Waltham Grade School which is just north of Utical Ill. Which is were the the tornado hit on April 20.

I just watched the news and saw that the earthquake happened no where near I live. That's really strange since I felt vibrations in the walls around 1:00 last night (actually morning today).

Well, where are you at? The earthquake could be felt in places as far as St. Louis and Quad Cities Iowa. That is over 300 miles from the epicenter. Chances are you probably did feel it then.

Cubs take the lead 7-5 alou get a two bagger. All the other major competition has lost in the NL central.

We're also 1 game up on the NL wildcard. I still cannot believe how tight the NL central race is this year. You have 4 teams all within 4 games of 1st place and most all of them within 3 games of the wild card. Anything is still possible.

THe Cubs have won the 1st 2 games of the cross-town classic this weekend. Cubs go for the sweep tommorow at 7:05 on ESPN. At, 6:00 tommorow and hour before the Cubs-Sox game on ESPN is the All-Star selection specail. Watch to see who from your favorite MLB team(which should be the Cubs )
makes the squad.

I'm faaaaaaaaaaaarrrrr left in almost all of my beliefs hence my signature. The last 4 years of Bush have been hell for me and the democratic nominee (or soon to be) is not my 1st pick.

Anyways, if bush gets reelected I fear for this country. Back to slavery and govenment spying for us!

Cubs! We've at least tied the season seires (we are winning thus far 3 games to 2) and we broke the sox streak. Now I can only hope that the Twins are winning also. Cubs played long ball and Maddux pitched wonderfully (witht he exception of the shakey 6th inning). Cubs were picking up Diez's pitches quite well.

You mean you dont want to se a sox vs. cubs world series? I sure as hell do, Whenever the cubs arent playing the sox i in a way cheer for them, I think it would be absolutely great for the city of chicago if the sox were to play the cubs in the post season

Ive always wondered why Chip Caray is a sports announcer, Yeah, harry caray is his grandpa, but the guy doesnt know alot about baseball, Whenever i watch a cubs game im forced to turn on the radio and listen to the guys who should really be doing the tv broadcasts, Ron santo and Pat hughes, now their fun to listen to but chip Caray annoys me, and the majority of cub fans i talk to dont like him either

I know Cub fans dont like Hawk & DJ but atleast sox fans do, Chip Caray needs to go!!!
