Here's a transcript from Back to the Future: Part 2 of the mentioning of the Cubs.Terry: Come on, kid. That's[clocktower] an important historical landmark. Lightning struck that thing sixty years ago.["Sportsflash" holo-announcement: Chicago Cubs beat the Miami Gators in the World Series.]Marty: Wait a minute.....Cubs win World Series....against Miami?Terry: Yeah, something huh? Who would have thought? 100 to 1 shot. I wish I could go back to the beginning of the season and put some money on the Cubs.Marty: No, I just meant Miami.....what did you just say?Terry: I said I wish I could go back to the beginning of the season, put some money on the Cubbies!

I searched around for it yesterday to find out it was false lol. The year was 2015, and the same rumor was going around when the Marlins won the World Series in 1997.http://www.bttf.com/rumors.htm

Although the Cubs had an opportunity to close it out tonight, I would like to see Prior win the series on Tuesday at home. It looks like the Boston/NY game is postponed. If their series goes 7 games, it looks like they'll have to play four straight games(short travel, short rest).

The best way to end this soggy day is for the Cubs to clinch the NLCS tonight. I'll be heading out now to catch part of the Bo Sox/Yankees game at the bars before heading to Wrigley for the game later tonight. I'll attempt to make a report sometime during the wee hours of the morning. I can't wait to see Mark Prior pitch on the mound again. Go Cubbies.

Well, Kerry Wood better be ready to play tomorrow if we are going to see the Cubs in the World Series. This game could very well be over by the looks of things. The Cubs have lost all of their momentum but you never know, they could pull it out.(Yeah, right.)
