Travis is gone, you won't be hearing from him for awhile so I wouldn't worry about using his line :).

ImageThe Cubs Choke? Nope sorry this isnt the 90's anymore, The Cubs have the most dominating Pitching staff in the MLB. PeriodWood,Clement and Prior. (Prior who i might add is a Cy Young canidate.)On the South Side you have cough: Burhele and Colon(Who will be in a Red Sox or Yankees uniform next year) and of course the Big Skirt Frank I used to be a great ball player now im a whinny complain Thomas. And dont even talk about the Sosa cork incident, Thats old news and everyone whose got a brain knows it was an accident. And dont talk about Taking 4 of 6 from the Cubs in the season series either because Any team the gets Swept Twice by the Tigers of all Teams should deserve to talk about anything PERIOD.The Sox basically gave the AL Central to the Twins. Even if the Cubs dont make the playoffs, The Cubs where better this year then the Sox.and the Stats prove that.Prior= Cy Young Winner enough said.

WGN Radio(owned by Tribune, like the Cubs), attempted to 'reverse the curse' of the billy goat down in Houston. You can check http://www.wgnradio.com for audio......You had your chance to let him in,.... But now no more will the Astros win. And, last night, the Astros lost to Dusty's old team.

Galvan316 spews:"And dont even talk about the Sosa cork incident, Thats old news and everyone whose got a brain knows it was an accident." Well, you must be a Sosa fanboy that will stick with him no matter what. The man had returned from an injury, and his stats were hurting. Seems wierd, that all of a sudden, a corked bat ends up in his collection. Seems like a perfect opportunity to improve his stats.Accident my ass!!!! He knew it was there but the chances of getting caught are slim to none. Unfortunately, slim proved to win out. The bat broke and he knew he was screwed.

Cubs won 6-0 they now own 1st place, and it should stay that way considering the Gaints are crushing the Astros 10-0. For anyone who cares White Sox are losing to the Yankees in the 7th and Twins are winning in the 7th. If those scores stay the same then the White Sox are officailly elimintaed from playoff contention.

YOU CAN PUT IT ON THE BOARD.....YES!!!! THE White Sucks are...GONE!!Meanwhile, The Cubs are cruzing in First Place and winning games that they have won all season long. Against Crappy Teams that have no business playing in the minor leauges let alone the Majors.ChiTown, Your damn Right im a Sosa Fan, and it was an accident. Let it go already. I swear to god if Frank "Im a Whimpy Whinny Badass wannabe Who Sucks and is going to be on Either the Red Sox or Yankees Next Year" Thomas had a corked bat, you'd find some way to blame it on the Cubs' Fans.Secondly, Maybe you should be worried about How terrible it must feel to loose your season in a span of 7 days. First to Thrid in the blink of an Eye. Or to put it another way, in the Swing and a Miss oF Thomas's Bat.....HE GONE!Bring on Altanta and San Fransisco and the Marlins. We have all beaten them 4 of 6 this year. And in a 7 Game series first one to 4 games won wins the series.Bring on the Yankees too we beat them 2 of 3 this year also.A Far cry from what the White Sox could do to AL Central Teams. You guys suck, and you proved how much you sucked when you lost 3 against Detriot and then 2 of 3 against The Devil Rays. And then in August you got swept by the Rangers. Then Last week Minnesota the obviously better team in the Lowful AL Central kicked your ass 3 in a row.Even if the Cubs where to not make the playoffs, the satisfaction of seeing the White Sucks Choke the way they did makes winning the Pennant so much less then what it means. But, theres always Next Year...HE GONE!Image

Galvin, a note for future posts. You do not need to put like 5 spaces in between each paragraph. One space will do just fine. Thanks.

I am a Chicago fan in general. Heck, look at my screen name. :lol:I am very happy that the Cubs are doing good. You can thank the new goat curse on Houston for that. :lol:Seriously though, both Chicago baseball teams have sucked so much in the past 80+ years, that it would be nice to see either one of them take a World Series. Lets just hope the Cubs don't choke like they have in the past.

If the cubs were going to choke, it would be in August or early September. The always have. Look at them now. In mid-late Septemeber they have been playing the best baseball that they have been playing since 1998 (we won the wildcard).Taking a look at Houston's game today, they have their 'ace' (9-5) up against a 17 game winner. I hope in all that is holy that the 'stros get swept and the cubs pull off a win. That would get us a 2 game win and we can screw up 3 games and still have a chance.Unfourtunatly we have some injured guys. Clement (sp?) is battling a pulled groin and Zambrano is battling a stiff back/sore knee. Unfourtunatly we can't send either of them to the mount tonight so we must resort to Estes. He is well rested and should be able to keep us in it.Mark Prior is in the Cy Young running, and I honestly think he deserves it. He is 10 and 1 after the allstar break and he is one of the biggest reasons why the cubs are in contention right now. He is number 2 in strike outs and has pinpoint controll. Other than Cy Young Miller needs reconition. Catching Wood, Clement, and Zambrano-three of the hardest guys to catch-and not allowing many passed balls? Amazing. There are days that he saves the game and nobody thinks twice. They think of Patterson's diving catch. Give the catcher more acknowledgement. (I play catcher :D)Lets go Cubs!Oh yeah, Galvan, your use of Hawk and DJ had me cracking up! I can't stand thoes two (another reason the sox are worse than the cubs)
