Wow, what a great day for the Cubs pitching . Did anybody see the eighth inning when Pratt was in? I could have pitched better than he did and he somehow made it to the majors. 9 pitches to load the bases and nobody even had to swing. That pretty much sums up his skill.

If I recall the first time he was called upon he did a decent job. Don't remember what game it was. Since then though, he hasn't don't nothing good. His control has been shot.

I wouldn't worry about Maddux. His past few seasons he started out bad but then heated up. Last year he started out 0 - 3 and he won 3 straight after that. He will heat up soon.

Cubs won 8-3, Aramis Ramirez hit 2 homers, Patterson returned to the lineup and went 0-5. Mark Prior threw off a mound today for the 1st time since March 22nd. He threw exactly 10 pitches.

Sox won 10-9 they were winning 6-0 but blew the lead and had to rally in the bottom of the 9th, they got extremely lucky.

Not to forget Alou. He is one of my favorite players (over sosa even). If he gets healthy and plays hot then he will be a MAJOR part of the Cubs offense this season. I like seeing our guys getting big hits, backs up if our pitching dosen't come through this year.

LOL, someone at school pulled the fire alarm today about 3 minutes after school got out, so I couldn't get my books or anything. Oh well, I guess no homework over the weekend (I hope you picked up the sarcasm)

I think Dusty needs his oil changed, I think he blew a gasket ;) . Thats one heck of a finish... Now thats only what 152 games left to have that kind of a finish?

BTW for those who don't know Cubs win 11-10 on back to back bot 9th solo homers by Sosa and Alou.

I've got homework. I need to revise 3 scripts for one portfolio, 25 pages of stories for another portfolio, and study for my two finals which are next week! kinda stressed at the moment, but soon, it will be all over.
I don't have a detonator; its on a timer.
A countdown timer?
No, a count-up timer. It goes from one to explode.

I was at the game, and it ws the greatest game i have ever seen ever. Dusty Baker blowing his stack like that was funny as hell. A-Ram's HUGE defense and hitting and then the bottom of the 9TH that was truely the greatest i have ever been appart of. IT was amazing.

GO CUBS!

Yes....Ramirez was on on both sides today, offense and defense. I didn't think he had that kind of defense in him. :)

Also, I have never seen Baker get like that before, even when he used to play for those Giants. :)

Wow Wood's got an attitude, that pitch could have been called either way Damaso got like 5 of those today that should have been strikes. Wood made a huge idiot of himself for screaming at the ump on a pitch like that.

Papas, I, a diehard Sox fan disagree with you, that was one of the best things Ive seen in awhile, its good to see a pitcher get pissed off when an umpire changes his strike zone an upwards of 15 times a game, at any other point in the game that would have been called a strike.
I give kudos to Kerry Wood for that, and I wish Sox pitchers gave a damn.

Being a White Sox fan has nothing to do with it.
That looked like a ball to me. Could have been a ball or strike. Wood just overreacted, waaay overreacted. We have all seen the strikezone change in certain stages of the game.
