I dont see them doin somethin someone already has. Its probally gonna be too different...thats hard to think about too. What else is there? But im sure theyre gonna leave us in awe....
Well, the ones in existance may look crappy, but seeing the footers and track that are already assembled on site at Cedar Point, even if it is a tilt coaster, it would obviously be an improvement of what already exists. However, like i said, it's an idea.
The other thing is that will all the problems they had with Top Thrill Dragster being a first of it's kind, do you really think it would be smart to add another possible headache? It would be more likely to perfect an idea seen very scarcely, but already in existance, than it would be to try another prototype. This would also go along with my idea, so i'm just sayin....
RIP: Trailblazer and Deja Vu...heck, even Alien Encounter
If it is a coaster like colossos, that inversion could possibly be included in the layout.
http://themeparkcritic.com/scripts/profile/ViewProfile.asp?ViewID=2909 A furious storm once roared `cross the sea, catching ships in its path, helpless to flee. Instead of a certain and watery doom, the winds swept them here to Typhoon Lagoon!
first off check out these panorama views of the site thus far...these turns are huge and look awsome. What theyve completed alone looks fun..all those twists and sudden turns...
[quote="andyvball93"]"Guess what this is Cam" < It means "Guess what this is?" Then it has cam after the question. They should make it a little easier to read. It has "cam" after the other two cameras too "Skyhawk cam" "Midway cam"
No matter, weve got a hill here now. This heads me in a total different direction ove its speed.
I thought since those turns are spread & very wide instead of tight, that the coaster was to be very fast. This hills apex is not as wide, yet more tight Changing my mind a little bit. This indicates it may be a mere 70somethin mph. If it was faster, Id think everything would have to be more wide like they said millie had to be made. However it doesnt look that different thus far....
but we shall see......

Excuse me?!?!? Don't call me a nerd, that makes you look like a fool on these forums. Respond with intelligence and maturity. I mearly thought that people didn't understand what it meant because people would put the cam name in quotes. After I posted, I realized that people were just "quoting" what the cam displayed. If you want to criticize me for what I posted, please do it in a tactful way by PM'ing me. You didn't embarass me by any means, the only one you embarassed is yourself.
ok Andrew, you have every right to stick up for yourself and youve made a point but lets no carry on an arguement that may come...back on topic shall we?
so what does anyone think of this hill? Supposedly sightings of LIM track have been spotted but honestly why does CP need that? They have Wicked Twister and none the less another launching monster TTD.
I cant really argue the point over theyll have to many launched coasters due to thatd be like argueing the fact that a park has too many "traditional" coasters. Look at Paramounts kings Dominion...Its actually been stated as the launched coaster capitol.
FOF, H:XLC, Volcano, & IJ:ST....
Another point that I must bring back is that Intamin announced their latest LIM design known as the Ball coaster...yes I know lets not go into that again...
Im stating if in fact its a new LIM design they have purposely not announced, then it must be an odd state of seating thats different for this ride....
this bothers me. Too many thoughts So what is different about this coaster if it truly is to be an LIM?
My guess is that the hill is approx 80 - 100 feet tall judging by the men standing around the base. Wouldn't 70mph be too fast for a hill of that angle and of that height?
*But then again Millennium travels approx 80 mph when it goes over the third hill. The only thing is that sharp change in direction To me it seems like a range of 50 - 70 mph around the hill area.*
well those turns are long and spread as Ive been sayin...the change in direction appears quick yes. The hill is what gets me as I stated above in my other post.
Its sharp. Just like the hills on maggie, theyre sharp. The hills on milie had to be drawn out see...?
so at first i thought the coaster'd be quicker but now the hill changes that opinion. My opinions are gonna fluctuate as construction goes on obviously due to more and more changes.
So what if there is a launch...not all launch coasters are they same.
And from the looks of it, the current hill will not be the first. In my opinion I think it will be traveling the other way, but that's just how I see it.
Cedar Point dosen't need to always have records for speed and height, why can't they just build a normal coaster for once huh? A good coaster with a good layout. It's like not enough for you people to accept it. Like if this isn't a record breaker, it seems like half of the people on this forum will be EXTREMELY dissapointed, and thats pathedic. VERY pathedic.
Gottastrata...it dosen't always have to be different. CP really needs some more inversions, so lets hope those will be uncluded.
They don't need a 500 foot 20 inversion coaster. The need a mid-range height and a good amount of inversions. That's what they NEED.
Cedar Point's attendance records were down last year in 2005 from previous seasons. It may have been from a rise in entrance fees or it may have been from poor weather conditions. I'm not quite sure. Also adding to that, they haven't seen a new coaster since Dragster in 2003. So I personally feel they could get a new coaster. Not necessarily a "record breaking" coaster.

Seriously don't come on the boards judging Director_Guy having friends and then coming here and saying stuff to Andrew calling him a nerd. Just leave people alone.
"Oh My Gosh, She is such a whore!" - heard behind me exiting Raging Bull.
moving back on topic...although cedar point definetely doesn't need a record breaker i think it either will be or will come close, or at least be something we haven't seen before. i think this because they seem to be teasing the public more than most of the time new rides are being built.
