Sorry this is off topic but this post reminds me of something. When S:UF opened either Walter or Claude said that more inversions couldn't be added to a flyer because it would be too intense. Well Tatsu has 2 more inversions than S:UF. So was that an excuse for a lack of inversions on S:UF or was the flyer still in the process of developement. Since Tatsu proves more inversions can be added I see B&M using the immelman in the future. Cedar Point likes to break records so if a flyer ends up on the WWL site I bet it will have an immelman.
Mearly a figure of speech my friend. Your thinking to hard.
A PowderKeg style ride wouldn't really hit it off with Cedar Point guests. Top Thrill Dragster isn't that far from the WWL site. This is basically having two rocket coasters in the park. Don't go all psyco on me here with Magnum and MF. MF was bigger than Magnum, this wouldn't be bigger than Top Thrill.
Excuse me for stating the obvious.

Now assuming that the name Maverick is intended for Cedar Point's use, the name Maverick really dosen't fit for a family style launch coaster like Powder Keg is.
As of right now, theres not even enough information for speculation.
For all we know this is just a really really big flat ride.
We have a possible name. That's about it.
Anyone have any access to overhead shots of these footers?
It can say a lot just by those.
Personally, I still cant see CF getting a 4-D yet, it still hasnt proved itself being a reliable coaster. Also, I can see them getting a flying coaster because most of the major parks in america are now getting or have a flying coaster. I doubt it would be a floorless because CF already has a floorless coaster in Ohio at Geuga Lake.
I can see a flying coaster in the calibur of Tatsu, but no one has thought of something completely new, how about a launching flying coaster? I mean, it wouldnt be much different, the train is just inverted. Also, to put a ride that White Water was in, it has to be compact cause that land isnt that huge, unless they expand over midways. Still, I say flying coaster, 4-D isnt reliable enough and too much of a risk still, especially the first from B&M, and floorless, there already is one and that would take away from another park in Ohio that they own.

If you are going to use the theory that Cedar Point won't build something Geauga Lake already has, you have to remember Geauga Lake already has a flying coaster as well.

Cedar Point's Last three coasters were Intamin's (Top Thrill Dragster '03, Wicket Twister '02, and Millenium Force '00) The last two B&M's they built were Raptor '94 and Mantis '96 But they're definately overdue. I'm pulling for the Dueling Flyers

When I looked at that picture of the site, the first thing that popped in my head was Dueling Dragons on that site and I think you guys might be right about a dueling B&M. Wouldn't hurt to think more creatively though.

I can confirm that track has arrived to cp.

if you want the actual picture of the track partially visible you'll have to search around for it, but it is online.

After seeing the layout of supports and the teasers, it has to be an Intamin AG Aquatrax coaster. There is only 1 in existance, the teaser said "that it has only been done once." Also "put 2 and 2 together" the location is over water, they removed a water ride, why not put in a water coaster in its place.
However, the track is unlike that of the only Aquatrax coaster, but it is a LIM coaster, so it could be the launch sections there. Also, it was said that this ride included hydraulics, so that it being a LIM coaster may be in the hands of CP. The name Maverick would fit this coaster because the definition of the word is one that refuses to abide by the dictates of or resists adherence to a group; a dissenter. This fits because it goes away from the traditional CP coasters. This coaster would be rather interesting and there is very credible reasons that it has to be an Intamin AG Aquatrax coaster.
The link to the only existing AquaTrax coaster can be found here. Also, this coaster would require a lot of theming too, to make it a good water coaster, so maybe that is why they started early.
EDIT: After looking at the pictures again, it looks like a 3-rail track and it is a red track. The aquatrax coaster is made of both 2 and 3 rail track, so all signs are pointing to the LIM water coaster, aquatrax.
