I only bring about $20 between my brother and I to buy food and junk.

This year I probably only spent $12.00. I'm too lazy to bring food and i dont want to leave the lot because i usually had a parking spot right in from of the main gate. If i want a drink during the day, i would just get water. If im dying to eat and cant wait until the park closes, then ill buy a little snack or something.

This article makes it seem that Snyder is going to do good things for the company...so we never know what will happen with Six Flags. The article makes it seem that Snyder will fix SF problems but they dont mention how it will affect Great America...why? Well taking away its theme and originality. I posted my ideas on the original topic on Snyder taking over the company to those who want to read them.
No matter how hard it is...Never EVER give up. The real failure is those who dont try.
Some of you had just made the point of Snyder aiming for more of a family atmosphere. Families=$$$$$$. With two kids myself, every trip is, "can I play that game, or can have popcorn, or a Mr Freeze, or cotton candy. Can I have this, and that, and that". Luckily my kids take the word "no" well, or I would have to get a second job to pay for our trips to the park.
Just remember families=$. $=improvements to the park.
mabye people can protest to bring back mr. six. i know alot of kids who think he's funny. i mean after all people did protest the construction of whizzer

True, however, they need to also advertise for teens. Mr. Six was liked by little kids, teens, and mentioned amongst most adults. Families bring in the money, but teens are equally as important to impress. Thirty dollars is a lot of money to spend just to have your kids play games and ride smaller rides. Teens and older kids are the ones who beg the parents to go to ride the big coasters, little kids have kiddieland. Since Mr. Six equally promoted for families and teens, there is no reason to get rid of him.

Mr. Six is not going anywhere. All you guys read this one article and assume that is all true. Snyder said before he was on the board that he would like to get rid of Mr. Six. Six Flags has never announced anything about Mr. Six going away. The last Press release from Six Flags said that they were gong to continue to accept bids so someone can buy the company. If someone does buy the company (which is likely) you will no longer see Snyder and the rest of the board as the board will no longer exist. As of this time Snyder is not planning on doing anything and is leaving it just the way it is.
Unless the people who buy the company keep him on the board, or even promote him or Shapiro to CEO (and from what I hear a lot of investment companies are looking at SFI, I would think they would keep a lot of the board memebers)

According to thrillnetworks.com, Mr. Six is planned to be ousted, that doesn't mean he is gone, read the article, not the title.
thrillnetwork.com wrote:Dec. 6th, 2005 -- It's the end of the line for Mr. Six. Dan Snyder, the newly-chosen head of Six Flags, plans on getting rid of the quirky dancing octogenarian who has served as the company mascot in recent years.
The move to get rid of Mr. Six is part of Snyder's overall plan to shift the company's attention from teenage thrillseekers to children and families, whom marketing experts say Mr. Six doesn't appeal to. Snyder says he plans on creating partnerships with businesses such as cartoon studios.

Even if Six Flags does stop using him in the advertisements, I don’t expect it to happen for the 2006 season. It is way too late for them to think of a whole new marketing campaign for 2006. 2006 season passes have Mr. Six on them and I am sure commercials for 2006 have been or will be filmed soon.
