Its not going to happen anyway, all I was saying is what if we got KK and where would it go. Eagles spot would be the best because of the length, but it doesnt matter because were not going to get KK anyway.

No, I said that because a thread about getting Kingda Ka is......

I know this will make everyone mad but next time sfgam gets a coaster whizzer will be removed. Iron wolf wont be removed cause its a stand up and nothing can fit into its space. Ae is a classic plus it a record breaker and there improving it. And parking lot space is already at a prenium and Ice Mountain is interlocked with loggers run so theyd have to remove both of them.

I think it would be cool If we got a Kingda Ka but 50 ft higher and at the end of the Camel back hill there was an inverted Top Hat. I know there is no room but maybe they could somehow fit it in somewhere.

I have a comeback to this, but I've typed it too many times, so I'll just copy and paste. Believe me, SFGAm has more than enough space if they just got a little bit creative.

Yet they added the Cornball Express, which is consistently rated one of the top wooden coasters in the U.S.A.

My point, you don't need a lot of room for a great coaster. Just go to rcdb.com and look at pictures of it. Zero room, but still a great coaster.

Ok FDR, Im the greatest strata coaster fan ever  (?), and I want one too but your posts are a little outrageous to even me.....I mean taking out AE?
and TWIXMIX has got some great points set. If you go to my post titled TOPTHRILL DRAGSTER VS. KINGDA KA, you will find alot of this already discussed and quite frankly youll see Im quite a "dreamer" myself but some things are just... :?
i mean put it this way, in that post I told everyone my serious dream plan....EVA. I know where I want her, what shell have, how shell execute her layout, etc. Ive researched everything shell even cost approx. $26million  What Im saying is that even with your plan it just seems silly to others, and for one you dont want KING DA KA....its ugly

GEEZ... Anytime someone tries to start a post with Imagination, or Pretend Senerios or IDEAS on new rides. PEOPLE back lash and attack with things like "cant happen" "not possible" "that was dumb" and then people start fighting.... why must most people on here be so UPTIGHT and STRICT on rules!!! LIVE ALITTLE and loosen up

i would so ride a Kingda Ka if it was Our park...screw V2. since ive been on TTD, V2 is so lame to me, i dont ride it anymore

Its true, people do say that(I sort of did  )kind of stuff and I know cause I made posts like this all the time....but I see why they do. Its almost as if were not satasfied enough to where were "complaining" about what we dont have. But its cool to dream and think about ideas.
For example, I wish SFGAM could be like CedarPoint meaning everything we received had to be huge, the biggest, but thats asking too much
Would be nice though

About your KingDa Ka topic....I would actually like a strata-rocket-accelerator coaster(they change the name so much) but I would want it simple.....the airtime hills are...MEH? I would like a 500+footer cause I want to know what kind of name it would have (like theres giga, strata, etc.)hmm...what is the scientific term for something 500ft. or 600ft?
DID YOU KNOW....that one of KK's original layouts consisted of a double camelback hill before they went with just one? :o :D

That would be cool. But Gurnee already nixed SF from building anything over or under the Tollway. Besides a coaster over an interstate could be dangerous.

As far as the height restrictions. It has more to do with SFGAm being in a residential area. The higher the ride, the more noise gets over the sound dunes. The only airport that would be a factor is a little airstrip in Waukegan, and even that's a stretch. It's not like the park is in a major low flying aircraft flight path. Usually though the village of Gurnee approves a lot of things. Like Raging Bull, they had to pass through Gurnee first, since it went over the 125ft barrier for coasters, as did Shockwave,(although I think Shockwave was the reason for the restriction on coaster height, it was close to residential homes, very tall, and very loud.) Even Giant Drop gets neighbor complaints when run very late.
Welcome to ShockWave please pull your harness down as far as it will go. While riding ShockWave please keep your hands and feet inside the car, and your head against the headrest, please hold on to all loose articles, especially hats and glasses. Enjoy your ride!

Yeah I can't believe that. Did you watch that show on National Geographic Channel. I saw that. They showed what it was going to look like but the g's would have been way to much.

One camelback seems like enough anyway. Next time that show is on, let me know. I love watching shows on coasters.

Just looking at the coaster fly up looks crazy and high as hell. I wish I could ride it. I can't believe they almost didn't have it open for the season cause they had problems getting the train up the top hat.

KK seems like a complicated coaster. I always wondered what if the coaster didnt make it up the top hat.

The part of the track that launches you also acts a a brake run if you go backwards kind of like what happens on superman at sfmm.

I came across an internet discussion on this a while ago. Basically, it takes the average speed required to get the past 3 trains over and uses that to calculate the next trains launch speed. So, you can try to plan a rollback by simply getting the station arranged so that you have a heavy group behind three light groups. Also, there was question as to whether this works the other way: you get a light group behind three trains of heavy groups. If this happens and the launch is too fast, will the brakes also activate in this case, too?
