yeah...expect the state inspections to take longer than even the opening of the ride after this breakdown.

Are the State Inspectors going to inspect the ride at all? I don't think they will be because there were no injuries on the ride, so the ride has not been un-certified to operate for 2005.

Carlo, I think if you were a State Inspector, and you heard the Kingda ka was having metal shards fly out, even without people on it, wouldn't you want to double check? Trust me, State wasn't to happy about this ride the day the announced it.

When you are a state inspector, you don't think, you go by what the law states, and the law states that you only have to re-inspect the ride if someone gets hurt. Nobody got hurt, so it doesn't need reinspected.

Actually in NJ, along wit several other states, when a ride becomes inactive due to a mechanical failure of larger magnitude, it is common for rides to be reinspected.

The law doesnt really stop them from inspecting it. If an inspector from illinois decided to come and inspect say... whizzer for no reason... he could.

Actually the big problem with the inspectors earlier this year was with the station capacity and fire codes (remember people died in a fire at SFGAdv years ago). While the ride will get a really thorough inspection, it really shouldnt take long compared with how rides are normally inspected in the state of New Jersey.

Have you been on both? How would you know? By the way I think everybody has been pretty leniant with you but I've got to let you know. Don't double post (like you did in your Raging Bull Thread), and your sig can only be 3 lines long. Your sig is 10 lines too long.

Better Theme? That makes the ride itself better? I dunno. As far as theming TTD isnt really themed beyond the cars and the Line Light......

KK is taller, faster, and it has an element that TTD doesnt have.

I dont know how you can say which one is better........

TTD also has some awesome sound effects during the pre-launch stage, and the Christmas Tree lights really add to the experience
