Fastlanes Versus Q-Bots

Talk about anything that has to do with the amusement park industry here.

You've only been on the forums for 5 days and you're gunna get kicked off.

I guess that Q Bot is better if you're the one using it on a partially busy day. But I think it's stupid to close off some of the more important rows, because then it's cheating the people that waited 1 hour +.

Fastlane is a ripoff for both the user, and the people that get cut off in line.

I've never used Fastlane or Q-bot, but Q-bot seems cooler. At SFA people really don't use this system unless there are crowds for Batwing and Superman: Ride of Steel.

If SFA had Q-bot it will be better. Batwing (Vekoma flying Dutchman coaster) has a duel station which one side is for fastlane. Currently the second station hasn't been used since this ride was built in 2001. They just store another train in that station since we have 3 trains. I'm certain that SFOG Superman Ultimate Flight that has dueling stations use both because they have this system.

As for blocking off lanes, I really don't mind. At my park they block them off, but if they is no fastlaners then they open them. Q-bot system is very smart and efficient. 6 people can use 1 Q-bot at a time.

The system reserves your place in line depending on the length of the current line when your ride is scheduled. You can use the Q-bot all day long and use it on as many rides as you want to throughout the day. Since the lines are shorter at the beginning of the day your wait will be shorter during that time, but you still won't have to stand in line. The system is equipped with radio technology to send you a message when your ride time is approaching. Unlike paper ticketing systems, if your ride is closed or shutdown, the Fastlane system will reschedule you when it's back up, and in the meantime schedule you for your next ride - so you're not waiting for a ride that's not working. If you don't to ride the specific ride anymore, just go back to the ride and cancel it with the Q-bot

In that case its not a ripoff. In 2004 this service got their 1 millionth customer from parks (SFGAdv, SFOG, SFOT, SFStl, and SFNE).

It was suppose to be at SFA and SFMM (SFA was ready because its advertised everywhere in the park) but it didn't happened. Q-Bot is really reliable. The regular fastlane just seems temporary until they are ready to expand at other parks.

And its Waterproof!!!!
I don't know ALL the Facts!!!!!!

I have personally never used either. I probably will never use either. If you cant take the heat standing in the line, like the pros, then why come. Thats just my opinion, dont get p'oed at me for this. BUT IF I HAD TO CHOOSE I would say Q-Bot. I dont know why. It looks cooler, even though this isnt a fashion show. 8)

I like Q-Bot better, I've used both (fastlane at SFGAm, Q-Bot at SFStL) and I thought it was a better value and you waited even less (went through the exit path)

I've never used either one, but from my previous experience at GAm I will be definitely purchasing the fastlane pass. I wonder if the passes will eventually incorporate with the rides in HH. I hope to see you all on July 19th (my 3rd trip to GAm). :P [/quote]
