I am saying that V2 is a coaster, because it has both curves and steep inclines. I am backing up my point that V2 has curves, but Aero 737 claims that it doesn't.

Sorry if I was confusing.

Like I've said before, a curve is a change in direction and an incline is a change in pitch.

Driving down a road and you come to a curve, you don't go over a hill, you change direction. Same thing goes with rollercoasters, an incline is a change in pitch and a curve is a change in direction.

Now, just so you all know, I do think that V2 is a rollercoaster. I'm just arguing the other point for a bit.

Maybe I need to draw it out...

The first image represents an incline (the lift hill of a coaster). The second image represents a curve (the top of a hill).

NO, you're still not getting it. A curve is a change left or right, an incline is a change up or down. It does not have to do with the radius.

And this post represents a nerd.

Freefall rides are different from coasters, if they were the same they would be called coasters. or is that too self explanotory for you?

Giant Drop is not a roller coaster. Why not? Take a look at it.

And your post represents, let's see, oh yeah... a moron!

I never said freefall rides were coasters. So why don't you just stop jumping to the last post, and actually try READING for once.

Also, a curve can be in any direction. (What if I tilt my head sideways?) A curve is just a curve. It has no up or down in relation to the earth.

Think what you want.

I said from square one that freefall rides and coasters are different. You told me that they are different, implying that I am wrong. If you had read the entire topic, you would have realized that.

Oh, good god, SHUTUP!!!!

We have created an argument with something very unimportant. You all are fighting like Bush and Kerry did. We don't need to call each other morons and nerds as was show not to right here

Sorry. Normally I wouldn't argue with something like this, but this isn't one of those opinionated arguements. Thanks, though, aero for backing me up on the diagrams.

Shutting up now.

What do you guys think of Freefall at Magic Mountain? It's a basic freefall ride, but it curves down on the bottom to lay you on your back. whatcu think?

Basically, a ride is a coaster only if it has a lift hill/launch start, travels on a track, and contains some form of change in direction. It also would need to have trains or cars that carry people on it. Basically, anything with those descriptions can be considered a coaster, and also if the park claims they want it to be a coaster. So if SFGAm wanted to say GD and train are, it can be.
