SFGAdv unveils new record breaking coaster.

Talk about anything that has to do with the amusement park industry here.

^I for one hope that this is the future of coasters. But I REALLY hope that they add the course of an airtime filled stratocoaster.

Because that's all I'll probably do on RCT3.

And what do you think CP did when they built TTD at 420ft? Why not 400ft? The answer is simple. They made sure that they had the actual world record by building it 5ft higher than STE at SFMM.

That is even more pathetic than what Kingda Ka's height is in relation to TTD.

Don't ever count on SFGAm getting something this tall. Gurnee will never allow it.

A somewhat clone of X-Cellerator or Storm Runner would be a good addition to SFGAm.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

Besides the whole "It's only beating it by 35ft" thing, it's also that everyone is bashing Six Flags for "stealing" Cedar Point's Idea. Is there any other way to make the tallest coaster this day in age???

The ride isnt even open yet, and people are already ragging about it.

The ride is NOT a clone of TTD: TTD is an 18 second ride, that shoots you at 120MPH up a 420 ft tower if you will, Then over the tophat, then down the 420ft tower.

Kingda Ka however, will be a 50 second ride, 128 mph up a 456ft tower down the 456 tower and then up a 130 ft hill.

Theres no way in hell that anyone could say that this is a clone to TTD.

What the hell is that? Stealing CP's idea? How can SF steal CPs idea?

I was never saying that. I was saying how other people are saying that. ((Say that sentence 3 times fast  ) And there is no way a 128ft aitime hill is going to add 30 seconds to the ride.

Six Flags isn't copying TTD or Ceder Point. I think by making TTD Ceder Point welcomed other parks to build higher and faster. Plus, GAdv just ants to not only break the records, but also heighten today's coaster standards.

I highly doubt this ride will last a full 50 seconds. Remember, Six Flags said that Superman: Ultimate Flight would be "nearly 3 minutes" long. There's no way that Superman is a 3 minute ride.

Yeah me niether maybe 50 seconds if you count when you leave the station until you get off. Alot of that time is taken sitting in the launch area.

Myabe after the second hill they add some fun scenery at slow speeds. That would be interesting........ REAL TIGERS! Call Roy in. Never mind, they'd never add that.

That's the thing with the CP fanboys. They come up with the most ridiculous excuses as to why this coaster is being built.

SFGAm used to hold record breakers and at that time (I know, I am old), I was a frequent visitor of the park. When they lost their titles, I really could care less. The park doesn't become magically worse because of it.

Shockwave held the title for tallest and fastest for only one year when it was beat out by Magnum. I didn't cry about it.

Is it me or does the train seem to go into the station at 20-30 miles an hour? Isn't that kind of... dangerous?

I agree with you on that 100% I have only seen pictures and videos of all of those coasters but i would rather have inversions than a stupid record breaking coaster. The reason i think we would get something like storm runner is because it would fit by wizzer i think and i like how it goes through the trees.

Even if it isn't, these companies(Intamin ig) know what they are doing. Safety isn't the issue.

I like that in the video, the trees sway when a train is launched.

The thing about the trees is that won't a bird build a nest in one and fly infront of the car, or will one of the branches grow too much? Probably not, but you never know!

There is no way, those trees will be real. They know the risks and I dont think that they would even try it.

I still think that alot more can be done with this coaster... the "airtime hill" isnt really gonna provide alot of "airtime" any way.

Just a note : I never said I wasnt excited ; )

This coaster looks cool but its not going to be much more than TTD. IT probably will be a bit more fun because of the hill but who knows. I think its cool that you can get two doses of airtime.

I think the theming looks great. I cant wait to see it in person.

I wonder why Fabio wanst on the TTD when it hit a bird.

Well, it wasn't like a one day desicion for Great Adventure to build this coaster.

For all we know, it could have been something that was planned to be built before TTD, but plans could have changed according to profits and attendance, so there is no way that SF "copied" CP.
