The biggest things that sucked at SFMM was the employee's (who didn't give a rats butt what we did) and the fact that they didn't tell you why a ride was closed. Whenever a ride closed they would just put a barrel infront of the entrance with no employee. The only time I saw an employee infront of a ride was when X broke down.

I've said it before and will say it so people remember, crap line management always results in a crappy park, or anything for that matter.

Half of the reason CP has much better reliability is they dont run all year long. True SFMM has some crap employees, but give them some slack, they are open year round.

I had a great time when I went there in sping break of 2002. Everything was open and ops were doing a good job. Also it wasnt dirty. Obviously that has changed now and its a shame. Even though it isnt the greatest parks my freidns and I are still going there this year as well as Cedar Point. Most likely we are going to CP next month and SFMM in december during winter break.

Being open year round should give them the chance to have better employees (as they can get more retired full timers than kids looking for a lazy way to make a few bucks).
.....this is why you get an extra train for the rides when your open year round....even though SFMM's normally dead during winter so they can do they're annuall inspections which shouldn't be a problem but it is because they can't freggin keep them up to standards then get shut down.

I dont think they need better employees, its called better management. Obviously they are not kicking those lazy teenagers into line. It's sad that one of the best parks in the world can't get management that actually does something.

I heard from somewhere that people actually ran through the operator at the front of the line and started storming the station on X because people wouldn't wait any longer.

MM sounds like a real dump. I've never heard a positive comment about the park.

I don't know if this is a stupid question, but I'm not familiar with SFMM.
Why does Flashback need to be closed if the water park is open?

Is it really loud, or do the guards just like to watch it? If it won't run half the year at MM, why don't they send it to another SF park that needs more coasters?

They have some really good coasters, and it's pretty. 8)

And Brad is right, they will keep it there along with S:TE (Which nobody really knows much about) and not run them just to say they have them.

I once went to MM. I cannot say how much I didn't like it. Their were 12 rides Unopen including

Flashback
Gold Rusher
S: TE
Metro
Swashbuckler
Log Jammer
Spin Out
Deja Vu
and SCREAM! yes SCREam! wasn't open.

And i thought Astroworld wasn't keeping their rides in order

It's really not the parks fault in the SF chain if rides can't run full capacity, because they don't get the proper maintenence budget necessary.
Although it is their fault for crappy employees and line management.
