Hulk has also rolled back and made contact with the train in the station before.

Overheating can become a problem if used in shuttle type settings (Mr. Freeze at SFSTL & V2).

The main reason for not using LIMS is the overall length required and the side to side forces generated by the action of the motors themselves. This results in the earlier complaints of headbanging betwwen th OTSR's on most premier rides coasters and was the reason for the switch to lap bars.

As for power consumption - last time I was down in SFSTL on thunder river, I did see the power feed and dedicated transformers for Freeze, but I did not see what size they were. Does anyone know how much Juice one of these things consumes in a launch?
It's the most fun in the park when your laughing in the dark.

Freeze's launch draws approx 5,000 amps at 480 volts. Power used is around 2.4 million watts.

Force generate generated is slightly over 5,000 hp.

As you can see, power requirements are quite extensive, and that's just getting the train up to 70mph. And I'm pretty sure that figure covers just the initial launch, and does not include what's used on the spike.

On overheating, I noticed Monday on my trip that after each launch, water is sprayed on the launch area. I'm glad they got it running so I could ride it.

Which ride, Mr. Freeze, TTD, or V2?
