Yeah, how does 18 suddenly define maturity?

Yeah, but you also have to be 18 to get a driver's license without parent's permission.

Ha Ha
Smoking doesn't make you mature, it just means you couldn't handle peer pressure. I guess at 21 you become more mature because you can drink legally.

Wow, you can drive a bus!!!! Think about it. How many 18 year olds actually drive a bus? I don't think I've seen one since I was alive. Bad argument. Who says "all" 16 year olds joke around when working? It's a terrible stereotype that an older person is more mature.

I saw a complete goofball working SUF a little ago. This person should be fired, not because of age, but because they act that way when working. It really depends who the person is. Some people might never change until they do something foolish. Go to the Cubs or Bears game and can you see a lot of immature adults, and teens. I haven't seen any immature people working the rides this year or last year, or the year before that and so on except the one. So, it kind of shows you why this law is sttttttuuuuupppppiiiiidddddd!!!!!

Democrats are too lazy to actually study people, so they use majorities, Like The majority of students at such & such school get such & such grades, Or the majority of such & such race gets such & such money. Inthis proposed law the majority of 16-17 year olds don't operate as well as older people, which is VERY untrue. The only reason that 18 shows maturity is that then you become a legal adult.

I support this 100% mainly because im almost 20 :) but seriously, the only reason why most people on this thread dont like the idea is because they arent old enough yet to if said bill was inacted to become ride ops. Oh well

I have to say that I also agree with the idea of making ride ops 18. Not to say that someone who is 16 cant run a ride correctly or safely, but a job like that comes with a lot of responsibily and would probably be better run with someone who has a little more maturity. Again Im not saying that all those under 18 are incompetent and those that are over 18 are competent. But overall I would say that I would feel safer having someone older running the rides. Just look at a bunch of other places of employment where that have age restrictions.

I was 16 and ran rides after a quick little explanation on how everything works. I don't feel I was old enough at the time even though I'm a very competent person. I totally understand the 18 year old suggestion (such as what CF has implemented). Saftey is not an accident. I've seen a lot more immature 16 year olds than I have 18 year olds.
