Ragtime and big band/swing type stuff get me pumped up. Along with the songs from the Six Flags commercials last summer.

Yep! The Entertainer is one of my all-time favorite songs. I have it memorized on piano and everything, I'm a rag-time freak. Along with Maple Leaf Rag, Swipesy, and all the other Scott Joplin songs. Oh yeah, and the soundtrack from the movie, "The Sting". I think they actually play that soundtrack at the entrance, because I always hear the songs from that CD while I'm there.

Oh yeah! And the opera type song from the commercial a couple years ago. After hours and hours of searching though, the title of the song is still unknown...right Zach? lol

Superman and Batman theme. I like the music on the Deja Vu video, I haven't downloaded Raging Bull yet.
It's green. It's blue. It's all over you! Enjoy your ride on Déjà Vu

I made a little SFGAm soundtrack for myself. It has 24 songs, which are most of the songs that remind me of/get me excited about roller coasters. :) I'll be listening to it in the car on the way to SFGAm every time I go.

Papas, the only song I can think of that has to do with Batman that's somewhat like what you described is Hold me, Thrill me, Kiss me, Kill me by U2. I think it's from batman forever.

Edit: It's not very techno-ey, it could be a remix or a completely different song.

I agree, that song makes me happy and ready for coasters.

Also I like those classic party(I hum them to myself sometimes) songs that GA plays those get me hyped up about going.

When I'm in line for Batman, that song by Prince gets me excited about riding coasters! Also the song, Bring Me To Life by Evanescence always reminds me of SFGAm becuase the last time I was driving towards SFGAm, that song was playing.
'05 at SFGAm is going to rock! Evanescence and Green Day rock my world

I'm on Papas' side. Whenever I think of the park music, I think of the park itself, as well as the rides.

I've had a long history with the park. I worked there from 1998 to 2000 as a Park Services Host. I've listened to the music while on the Job. I've recently returned there last season in the Foods department. (I have changed a lot since then and it's a long story.) There are some points when I can't get the Orleans and Yukon soundtracks out of my head.

Sorry, but the Superman and Batman soundtracks get me the least excited about coasters.

what songs are on there? Can you make and send a copy to me?

P.S. You have a CD of songs, I have a large book (Photo Album/Scrap Book) that has Six Flags Great America stuff in it, from 2000 to Now. All the park maps, brochures, tickets, pictures, Six Flags souvenir bags from a few years back, etc.

I'll PM you with the song titles if you want. Some of them aren't actually played at SFGAm. I either heard them in some SFGAm videos, or they just started reminding me of coasters at some random point for no reason lol. :) Do you want me to send the CD to you, or what? Just PM me and let me know.

Nice. I have a collection of newspaper articles & stuff about amusement parks, mainly SFGAm. And I have a lot of other SFGAm stuff. I was thinking about getting some large case or something to put my stuff in.
