I was thinking this too, but there's still a lot of time until they announce EVERYTHING for this coaster so no use guessing now.

Could they be going after this name again?"
It will not be named Banshee. They tried it for Mantis, and when they researched the background of the name, the PR department got cold feet with it and pressed a quick rename to Mantis. Probably different people handling that stuff now, but I don't think they'd go for it. They also foreshadow, "as we fly into the future." This hints highly at a wing coaster (or a flying coaster, but those are old news, so probably a wing coaster). I'm wondering if they'd try the Intamin wing coaster design though, like Furius Baco. Cedar Point has had an affinity for Intamins in the recent history, and probably got a nice price break when they bought 4 in quick succession (Millennium Force, Wicked Twister, Top Thrill Dragster, and Maverick). However, it's been quite a few years since the addition of Maverick, so it's not like they have to heavily lean to Intamin on this one.
If you look at the Steel force logo it has the same eyes as the picture that Cedar Point posted. From wikipedia "Steel Force’s logo was originally intended for the stand-up coaster Mantis, which had opened at Cedar Point a year earlier. Mantis initially was to be named “Banshee,” but had its name changed for sensitivity reasons. The logo was no longer appropriate after the name change, so Dorney Park adopted it for its Steel Force coaster a year later." So will is be named Banshee or are they just teasing and tricking us?
A post from Theme Park Review's Cedar Point Form "(!%!@@!#%(!@!!^ corresponds to the numbers below those symbols on your keyboard: 915122135912116. Invert those numbers to get 611219531221519. Each number is a letter of the alphabet 6=F 1=A 12=L 19=S 5=E 3=C 12=L 21=U 5=E 19=S. Change it and you get FALSE CLUES. Put that into the original phrase and you get: "Watch out for inversions and FALSE CLUES"
If this is what CP is doing, I sure hope it's a design that would give you the true Wing Coaster Concept. I feel that if they are going along the design route of Wild Eagle, then they might as well opt for a floorless. I just didn't get the same "on the edge" feeling as I did with X-Flight.
according to cedar points facebook page today the last rider ERT for disaster transport will be on July 29th, followed by an auction. At least the ride wont be scrapped........
^Are you saying that Disaster Transport is moving to another park??

Could be a last ride auction. Not sure where they'd put this since bobsled coasters aren't currently, and never really were a big fad. It's a good family ride, but it's old and sometimes old stuff just needs to be replaced.
^IF it's not getting junked, than how about Kings Island to replace Son of Beast...
"this week where one of the readers claims to have bumped into Matt Ouimet during a visit to Kings Island. During the very chat, he explains that Ouimet mentioned that they would have to add something new to Kings Island in the future to replace Son of Beast, because they didn’t feel there was anything reasonable that could be done to fix it." - from Screamscape. This doesn't mean that they would definitely get a bobsled coaster, but why not?

I don't see the park trying to salvage DT. I've got to imagine that this contraption is/was a pain in the neck to the park employees who deal with it on a consistent basis. Other than keeping them in check with the "Coaster Wars" of the 90's, this probably would have been gutted long ago. Kinzel had even mentioned in interviews that DT was one of the parks's biggest mistakes along with TTD.
Space Spiral is questionable....I'm not sure if they will pull an Ocean Motion and move it somewhere else in the park, move it to another property in the chain, or say "forget this!". Much like DT, it needs some TLC that I don't really see CP doing.
From Screamscape's Cedar Point Page, " (7/25/12) The latest buzz from The Point seems to indicate that Sandusky could become home to a cousin of Canada’s Leviathan. I can only hope that this dragon will also demand his own cave lair and other fun environmental stuff to fly through. The dragon rumor has also been confirmed by our friends at CoasterFusion as well as some comments on the possible color of the coaster track being green… but with the sighting of the blue wing image on DT being so similar to the colors used on Leviathan, I’m hoping for another blue / cyan combo paint job myself. (7/23/12) A reader visiting Cedar Point to get a last ride on Disaster Transport noticed a new farewell banner was placed on the ride the detailed part of the ride’s long history in the park. However at the end of the timeline, this interesting looking blue wing looking design was placed. The wording is interesting too… as it says, “What will live at Disaster Transport’s home in the future?” The keyword there is LIVE… which seems to imply that the new coaster will be themed to some kind of animal, being or creature. As for the blog posting yesterday… countless e-mails have come my way from people claiming that the code translated into an announcement date or some other kind of monkey fart clue, but these are all false. One reader did crack the code however, and it’s essentially Cedar Point giving us all a big stinky red herring. Want to know the solution? ( ! % ! @ @ ! # % ( ! @ ! ! ^ turns into 9 1 5 1 2 2 1 3 5 9 1 2 1 1 6 Now reverse the number sequence and you have: 6 1 1 2 1 9 5 3 1 2 2 1 5 1 9 Clump the numbers into the right pairs were needed and turn into the appropriate letter of the alphabet and 6 1 12 19 5 3 12 21 5 19 turns into FALSE CLUES. So don’t believe everything you read… or see… and as this message was attached to the picture of the Steel Force / Banshee eyes, we may be able to assume that it too was a false clue. Oh… and I missed it before, but just before this code, the CP Blog did post another similar code the day before which you can translate forwards in the same fashion. @!!$!(*%% = 2 1 14 19 8 5 5 = B A N S H E E Again, this was followed by the FALSE CLUES code… so no dice Banshee fans. A newer post was also made under the title, “We have a thing for numbers” with a picture of late shipping crates on site somewhere and numeric code: 0 7 91 97 21 2. I don’t think these turn into letters, but instead maybe represent something else. Anyone have an idea? Oh… speaking of those mystery crates. I’ve seen close up pictures of them and they are full of Anchor Bolts and other hardware for a new B&M Wing Coaster."
From Screamscape's Cedar Point Page "(7/26/12) Some interesting digging about another possible name for the 2013 Cedar Point coaster has come from CoasterFusion this week. They believe it could be named Lotan, named after a mythical 7-headed sea serpent / dragon beast that is the representation of floods, oceans and winter."
