Talk about anything that has to do with the amusement park industry here.

This roller coaster is going to be amazing, who ever thought B&M would break 300 feet with a roller coaster and an 80 degree drop... we have entered a new competition in Giga coasters now.

I like the Millennium Force-esque layout. Nice to see the old 4-across trains return. The section between the first over-bank and first camelback ought to be a thing. Two things that surprised me were the lack of splashdown (given the ride's name), and the sudden end to the ride at such a high elevation. Something like what Raging Bull does post-MCBR would have been a nice finale to the ride. Looking forward to it, anyway- best looking project of 2012, I think.

Well, count me surprised. Hopefully it works out for them.

As for the ride though, well, I'll keep it to myself, but I can say I won't be going up there anytime soon to ride it, especially since I was just there 2 years ago. :)

The ride reminds me of a Raging Bull, but taller. To me, Behemoth looks to be the better ride, but that's my opinion.

The thing that looks most cool to me is having all that freedom with your arms and legs going down that first drop with just a tradditional lapbar. That first drop looks intense especially if your sitting in the back row. CW definitly has a winner on their hands no matter how many people compare it to Behemoth. The overall ride experience will be different than Behemoth judging by the layout and speed of the coaster. Thats my opinion though. I can see the ride merchandise now, Laviathan vs. Behemoth... You decide!!!!.

B&M breaks the 300ft barrier. Sadly I hoped b&M would do this for us, but we can still be hopeful now that theyre ballsy again. ;D

http://leviathan.canadaswonderland.com/

It impresses me cause I have been askin for this for like 10yrs!! I used to design a "B&M Giga" as a kid cause I was used SFGAm's B&Ms & always hoped they'd go the extra 70+ ft for a giga when I thought Raging Bull was the biggest baddest thing there is! ;)

Now....here are my pros/cons with Leviathan:
Love the name. I always figured Gargantuan, Leviathan, & Mammoth would make for great coaster names to fit the Goliath motif. As far as layout goes, it looks very RCT3 met a NoLimits recreation of itself. Everything is so oddly drawn out. The layout is no different from what I'd expect from a hyper. It reminds me of Diamondback & Intimidator-Carowinds. The brake run is AWFUL....it looks like Arrow designed it poorly. What is that?!

My biggest beef.... THE TRAINS! WTF. They use the old B&M hyper trains?! It looks like Raging Bull in 1999, this is a new decade, a new era of B&M & they couldn't design a new train or restraint system?! Ugh.

With all that aside, you guarantee I'm gonna get out there to try this out & I am VERY PROUD of B&M for doin this, goin outside their zone so to speak. I'm very excited & cannot wait to see how it plays out at CW, its definitely a win for 2012.

I think this ride is the last example we'll get to see of how Dick Kinel has lost his mind.

Not knocking the ride it looks pretty good (80 degree drop on a B&M hyper sounds great to me) but they may as well have built Behemoth somewhere where it would actually have a purpose. The animation doesn't make me want to go all the way out to CW to ride it, i've already ridden Behemoth, now if they were to spend that same amount on something like El Toro or X2 i'd be there in a heart beat. It is good for marketing, but it makes no difference to me whether its a giga or not, the smallest B&M hyper at SFOG (unless you count the really tiny one at Universal Japan) is by far the best one.

I really like that sores above Dragon Fire. It does look sort of boring though and with them just building Behemoth i don' get why their bulding this. CP is different Magnum and MF are completly different coaster but two different companies

I will agree with what you are saying, but one could also argue they are different types.

For what Six Flags, and Cedar Fair are doing, for me at least there is clearly 2 rides of similar type in which I like one better. For instance:

--Deja Vu vs Regular Boomerang (Coming to SFNE) - Deja Vu is #1 roller coaster to me, and a Boomerang is in 20s, so they are very similar, but it's a little different.
--Ragin Cajun vs Dark Knight - Ragin Cajun for me is the trash pile while Dark Knight is not. It's because of the spinning. Spinning to me is for a flat ride even though I really like flat rides, but I hate that spinning part on Ragin Cajun.
--Granted they are not at the same park (but to me this ride looks like Raging Bull as I said): Goliath (SFOG) vs Raging Bull (SFGAm) - For me, Goliath is the sure winner by a ton. For Raging Bull, I might give it a pity ride every year (or to try and make me like it), but I don't like it. It's boring to me. Goliath is a whole different story, and that's how I would probably feel about this Leviathan vs Behemoth. I haven't been on either, but you can tell one is more like Raging Bull, and one is more Goliath or Diamondback.

--Even those toliet bowls in Hurricane Harbor - Sure, I like the Deja Vu bowl because of the colors better, but that Deja Vu bowl slide is also steeper than the pink one (even though I never think of going in a toliet hole when in the pink one -hehe), and in my opinion, it's a much better bowl slide.
--Space Mountain also to me- I clearly like the left side better than the right. The other side just isn't as good.
--Matterhorn at Disneyland is another one - The Tomorrowland side feels rougher, and better.

So, yes I agree with you of why are they putting it up so fast but I see the differences in the two, and out and back B&M to me is a better ride than a Hyper Twister that's a giga coaster. And also, Behemoth has a ride capacity that is high up there, so it's not like putting 2 mice coasters right next to each other in order to make sure capacity is good.

In a way though, I wouldn't mind getting Montu but still have Batman the Ride. Montu has some different stuff than Batman the Ride, but you might confuse the public by doing that. Are they going to figure out that Batman the Ride is different than Montu? At Dueling Dragons / Dragons Challenge, do people realize that they are completely different coasters? For me, Fire is the trash pile. I like Ice though even though it seems shorter than Batman the Ride for sure.

Actually, Mr. Galvan, it did make sence. Maybe if you read through it, you'd see that he's saying that two similar style coasters in the same park can sometimes make perfect sence.
Top 5: 1) El Toro. 2) Maverick. 3) Millenium Force. 4) Diamondback. 5) X2.

I'm pretty sure everyone at corporate thinks the world is ending in 2012.

Expect a lot of crazy stuff next season.

Only 8 car trains also I noticed. I'm guessing that's all a 300 foot tall chain lift can handle.

Also not sure if it's been brought up, but if not it probably will be, but the animation was done by VIP/Keith McVeen, he does all his animations off the actual working blueprints for the ride and the animations are almost always accurate down to the placement of each bolt, which is why he has the trims and whatnot in the animation. It is the exact working blueprint for the ride in animated form, so anything is shows will generally be accurate, including the standard chain lift and 8 car train.

I have an issue with the train model bein used on Levi but nonetheless, as for the ride in general I am nothin but pumped especially for B&M with this (finally) "breakthrough".

Maybe they should have just said that instead of rambling on and on.
