Well that good and makes it a moot point. I wonder if the WB license covers Terminator Salvation at SFMM as that was distributed in theaters by Warner Brothers.
Favorite Wood Coasters: The Voyage, Ravine Flyer II, Thunderhead, Balder Favorite Steel: Voltron Nevera, Steel Vengeance, Expedition GeForce, Olympia Looping Parks visited: 232, Coasters Ridden: Steel: 894, Wood: 179, Total: 1073
Add Cold Stone, Panda Express, Papa Johns and Johnny Rockets to the list of brands that are more or less gone in 2011.
The new SF management team is quickly cleaning house.
The only problem I have with this, is I have a very restricted diet, which means I cant really have the typical theme park food with out getting very sick. Panda Express' rice or noodles was something I could actually eat without getting sick. So It might be difficult for me to eat inside the park next year. Also those offerings where very cheap too. ($4 for a large bowl)
^^Good to hear. I will never understand the idea of upcharge attractions at POP parks to begin with, but MagiQuest was on a whole other level. Did they really think people would spend 40-50 to get in, 15-20 to park and spend money to play a long game?
Can someone make a thread or post about this in the "Six Flags Great America" Forum? I think it'd be appropriate to put it over there since Wiggles World is a part of SFGAm. Thanks guys.
^The ride basically will need on a repaint of the name on the sign, removal of the fact boards in the queue and new name on the front of the trains. Overall, Six Flags did a great job on this one.
"The LA Times has confirmed with Six Flags that they will indeed be removing the Thomas Town, Evel Knievel and Tony Hawk themes from the parks over the winter. However, they did not confirm the removal of Wiggles for some reason, despite the fact that they have already renamed the Wiggles World attractions at Fiesta Texas. Perhaps it’s possible they may be trying to come to terms with a new deal on that one, but I’ve got a feeling it will be leaving anyway. The current Thomas Towns (SFMM, SFDK, SFNE, SFOG and SFA) will be renamed “Whistle Stop Depot”. The Tony Hawk Big Spin coasters at SFDK, SFFT, SFOT and SFSL will be shortened to just “Big Spin” along with the dropping of Tony Hawk’s name from the Halfpipe slide at SFA. The Evel Knievel coaster at SFSL will be renamed “American Thunder”."
It seems silly to me to drop all these licenses, when I was at SFA (certainly a park in that area not well known as a family destination) the kids seemed to love Thomas Town and the longest line in the park was to get a picture with Sir Topham Hat. It certainly looked like a pretty big draw for that park. TT really is a breath of fresh air in that park and is very nice, the Thomas Town/Wiggles at SFNE always seem to have activity and be very popular also. The Thomas Town at SFMM is always dead but theres almost nothing to do in there.
Another article on the de-theming, which finally confirms the Wiggles retheme. "The company is "currently exploring a new name/theme for Wiggles World," Daniels said."
I'm glad that (so far & hope it continues) the name changes have been at least creative & not dull. I really like American Thunder & Apocalypse...especially apocalypse! That's an awesome unique name. Still sucks they had to drop the kick ass Terminator theme.... Maybe they can incorporate zombies into it instead of machines! I want a zombie themed coaster so bad!! Admit it, that'd be pretty wicked

Wow. That would be pretty sick. A Zombie themed coaster?! That would definitely come in handy during the Halloween season lol.
Also, about Magiquest, they are actually getting rid of it??? I mean I don't like it, but it just makes me a little bothered and upset that they spent all that money for one attraction that lasted only one season, and they're getting rid of it already. That money could of been spent for something else useful. Oh well. You win some, you lose some. Nobody knew it wasn't gonna be a hit. Not everything that a park builds/adds will be a hit with everyone. Oh well. Wonder what will new attraction will be there instead?
