Here's a thought... The ride hasn't been maintained in years, it requires much re-tracking and much support work! I doubt that Ed Hart feels it's necessary for the ride to receive such revamping that would coast at least as much as a whole new GCI woodie!
Yeah, Twisted Twins won't be running for a while. The cost to get that ride running and buying 4 new trains will easily pass the million dollar mark for a ride that was not that good when it was around.

With Ed Hart, anything is possible. Next Year will be a year the park will be filled with many new flats in the park, new paint, buildings re-built, and etc and a water park espanion which he confirmed. The park could even have a coaster next season, because Ed Hart already has plans for the park, moving the parks entrance to changs old area I belive? The old park entrance could be used for a small coaster or maybe a GCI Coaster. He said that starting next year, or this year, hell re-do the park this decade with of Heavy Investments, like in the 1990's before Six Flags took over. Which means Major Coasters, Thrill Rides, and etc for the years to come to re attract guess to our park.
So major additions besides things water related in the future? Of Course
Retracking is nowhere near as expensive as building a new ride. Also it only needs 2 train, it can only run one train per side. Plus HW will have another PTC to sell off pretty soon, and there are other used trains on the market.
Favorite Wood Coasters: The Voyage, Ravine Flyer II, Thunderhead, Balder Favorite Steel: Voltron Nevera, Steel Vengeance, Expedition GeForce, Olympia Looping Parks visited: 232, Coasters Ridden: Steel: 894, Wood: 179, Total: 1073
Why are they saying things like it will be tough to get the park ready for season 2011? The park has very little rides compared to others in the nation! One off season is not that much is it?
^It has to do with Six Flags neglecting the park before they pulled out. Even when I was there last year, there were 3 or 4 flats down that were not in the Twisted Twins section. Add to that Six Flags yanking out any themeing and screwing with GL and it will be a challenge for them.
Tidal Wave is not coming back. Even Hank said without getting rid of another coaster (Demon, Whizzer, Wolf) we don't have room. Of course who's to say Wolf will be here next year...but Six Flags will not get any more coasters out of Kentucky.
Actually Hank said something along the lines of, "It is a big coaster, and it has a huge footprint. This is really the only place we can fit it without mass removal or relocation."
So There may be many new rides/ coasters to come in the future.
^The day I went there, not a single person used the sky coaster due to the cost. When it is 25-30 to get in and a ride on it was the same price, that happens.
back then, about 4 years ago, it used to be 20.00 for 1 rider and I believe 30.00 for 3 riders.
For the past couple of years its been 15.00 or 10.00 doller per riders including last year. Employees Rode this attraction for free also:) but, if sky coaster was busy! we couldn't ride! which was like 6 days a week we couldn't ride!
This attraction was popular and it got more popular after the hellavator left in 2007. This is like the only attraction left in the park that was thrilling.

(Isn't it funny that people don't care about something they loved after it was torn out from underneath them?)
I have nothing to complain about sky coaster, It was a up-charge attraction.
Chang to me wasn't a star attraction. It was appart of my life. I pick'd the color of chang when I was 12 years old in 2006. I met cool people, Jay Thomas and others who had became close friends with me. Chang is just appart of my life. I even got to put the first coat of paint on the ride. I don't care if this ride was Kentucky Kingdom's star attraction, the only thing I care about is that this ride was apart of my LIFE! To me, this is one of the biggest things I could ever do in my life or in my childhood. So don't try and say i complain about losing my homepark's star attraction because I don't whoever the heck you are, don't start nothing with me.
If you ever had the chance to pick the colors of you homeparks major roller coaster attraction, and the ride later came down, no more than 2 or 3 years, How would you feel?
