See for someone who has ridden it a handful of times, its a bit overrated. Seriously! The front row is the best THATS it. Ride on the axel and you're in for a lackluster ride. It's already starting to get rough. Although I LOVE the front seat that's all it is for me. I won't wait more than 45 mins for it though.

I prefer Maverick in the front, but I love no matter what. It is a genius coaster. I view it as perfect. Heres my 10reasons

1. Lift picks up adrenaline immediatley
2. The drop is intensely beautiful.
3. Those three low to ground banks make it feel faster.
4. The steep airtime hill does just what its title is, & does it well.
5. The twisted horshoe roll[corks] are smooth rolls.
6. The launch...gets me everytime. So powerful.
7. The tunnel effects are incredible, especially at night. The lights flicker on n' off then those blue streaking lights on the sides glare as the camera flash goes off and the lights overhead BEAM as if they just wentBAM!
8. Water effects are nice. Being low on the water is cool & The S-curve in between the canyon jolts ya.
9. & my FAVORITE part is that awsome tight stengal dive.
10. Bunny hop= A** way off seat and it throws you right into an awsome overbank brake run.

Revenge of the Mummy is still up there at one, but every time I ride Expedition Everest, it gets better and better. But I'd say either Mummy or Voyage.

^Yeah! I have a fellow diehard Mummy fan!!! If only it was closer, the 8 rides i've had on it is no where near enough! :(

How bout we add to this your biggest surprise? What coaster did you ride that exceeded your expectations for it more than any others?!

I would say Raven, Loch Ness Monster, Rock'n Roller Coaster, and Griffon would be mine in this category.

I get asked this question so many times.

Wood : Raven at Holiday World (Will Most Likely Change this Year)
Steel : Phantom's Revenge (Xtreme Airtime. One of the most on any Steel Coaster I have ever been on!)

I agree with you 100%. I love how fast you go up the lift...
But even though I love this ride, Top Thrill Dragster barely inches Maverick out. I think that overall, Maverick is a better ride, but man, that launch on Dragster makes it my favorite.

Launch is awesome which makes it my favorite coaster. V2's launch can never beat it. That's probally because it goes about 52 m.p.h. faster than it!

My favorite wood coaster would have to be between Avalanche and Boulderdash.

And my favorite steel coaster is SROS at SFNE.

I think that Wicked Twister is a lot better than V2. I love that extra spiral. I'm sort of curious as to how Discovery Kingdom's V2 is like.

no pressure at all, nothing ever touches the train with the holding brake.

Amperage to the holiding brake, I forget the actual number but I know it is impressive.

^ There are no friction brakes on V2. Only the the LIMs and retractable magnetic brakes on the launch.
