Talk about anything that has to do with the amusement park industry here.
I've known about this for some time now at Wiener Prater in Austria I saw some pics of it's foundation a few months ago (it's beyond impressive), but now vertical construction has started...
I'll post an update or 2 as it goes up. Anyone who knows anything about Wiener Prater knows there is a normal 210 or so foot tall one there, that will be converted to a Rocket Airman, basically a Star Flyer but with Skycoaster vests and optional wing suits
And finally anyone unfamiliar with the Star Flyer, all your questions can be answered at:

OMFG. I'm speechless. I've never heard of this ride before now, and my jaw literally dropped. Is it something like condor, except 300+ feet high?

Confused though, Your Title says 383 Foot Tall Star Flyer, but the website says 70 Meters which is roughly 229 Feet! Something about being that high off the ground on a chain link swing says NO! I wont even go on the swings in front of Batman lol

Well, I've never been as frightened as anything before like this. I think if it was even 100 ft i'd be frightened. Condor makes me not want to look down.

This is a custom model of 117 meters.
And for a general idea it's basically a YoYo that spins at about 50 mph and this one will have you in a single or double chair suspended from 4 chains at just over the height of the aircraft warning beacon on Sky Trek Tower. Also they are capable of spinning backwards, but the handfull I've ridden have only gone forwards.
Single Seat(I much prefer the single seat):

Is it frightening, or is it more enjoyable?

My fear of heights is pretty minimal so I don't mind it. I find them to be just ok. Maybe the extreme height of this one will up the ante some

probably, your best bet is to head on over to
http://www.youtube.com then in the box labeled search, insert the letters, starflyer onride, in that order then see what happens. Though any for the one in orlando, that one is run slower than most.

No view of the tower right now, but a construction working posted this view from the current top which is closing in on 3/4 of the way there, the blue tower in the pic is the existing Star Flyer that is just over 200 feet tall...

Well this isn't Six Flags
Rajun Cajun was designed to have been built in about a day and a half rather than 2+ months.
