This topic will probably be locked soon. It's not nice to give out park secrets.

I'm moving this to the General Coaster forum, as it'd be interesting to hear from other parks besides just SFGAm. And there are "secrets" that can be told, and ones that cannot, and people who know those secrets know what they can and cannot say.

As for some Gemini "secrets"

The boxes on the platform hold weight bags that weigh 20 Lbs each full of Washers.

On cool mornings we have to load the first 6 rows with 9 bags per seat ( To simulate a average 180 Lb person) or else the train may not make it around the course due to the cold weather. ( Grease packed bearings.)

Also Gemini has both manual control of the trim brakes, and manual parking of the train, so yes we can mess up from time to time and you get a free ride.

Alton Towers does well with keeping secrets in a way...

During construction, they're soon to be rides are named SW(secret weapons). Oblivion was well kept for a while as it kept people in suspicion watching a 110ft. deep hole being dug, and they did not know what for. Plus they did not want the surrounding town/village to wreck plans for the ride when they heard the announcements. Now thats a cool little secret

I think it's funny how SFMW tried to play a fast one on the city of Vallejo. When they built their V2, it was the same as ours, but they reported it to the board as only being 150 feet, their height limit, when it was really somewhere around 180 feet. Needless to say, someone eventually noticed, so it was changed to the way it is today.

What I think happened is the wanted it to be a clone of ours but there was a height limit, so they got a 1 year exception and changed the ride after one year.
