Cy-Clones

Talk about anything that has to do with the amusement park industry here.
Postby [jonrev] on November 17th, 2005, 6:48 pm
Which of the clones of Coney Island's Cyclone is your favorite

There's...
The Original Cyclone (Coney Island)
Texas Cyclone (SFAW)
Psyclone (SFMM)
White Canyon (Yomiuriland)
Viper (SFGAm)
Cyclone (Williams Grove Park)
Aska (Nara Dreamland)
Bandit (Movie Park Germany)

I love Viper because it's the only one I've been on, but I've heard Georgia Cyclone is better for some reason.

The layout might be the same, but they are no where near the same riding experience.

Psyclone at SFMM is terrible compared to Viper.

Texas Cyclone is a great ride if you sat in the back seat. Other then that Viper is the best between the 3 that i have been on.

Villian at Geauga Lake takes that prize in my opinion.

Man, Shockwave is as smooth as a B&M compared to Pysclone and Villian.

Viper is the Best Cy-clone. The original one is great, and Texas Cyclone was 100x better than ANY ride at SFAW.

Viper. It's a fun ride with lots of airtime, and not extremley rough.

well on the subject of cy-clones

If anyone wants one, it was announced at IAAPA, Texas Cyclone will be given away free to anyone who wants it, all you have to do is disassemble it and get it out of the park asap, else it will get a healthy dose of the wrecking ball.

A furious storm once roared `cross the sea, catching ships in its path, helpless to flee. Instead of a certain and watery doom, the winds swept them here to Typhoon Lagoon!

1. Aska is one hell of a ride, pretty much a mirror image of Viper but runs SOOOOOOOOOOO much better. Better pacing and more air. It's a shame this ride may be gone soon. Top three woddie for me.

2. Viper I love this ride. Out of the ones you list it is my next favorite.

3.Texas Cyclone was just an ok ride, nothing special to write home about but wasn't a bad ride. Just slow in the pacing if you ask me.

4. White Canyon wasn't the greatest and was pretty rough for me.

5. Suckclone One horrible POS. Will not ride unless someone i'm with needs the credit. Best ride was my first ride on it back in "03" when my wifes top came down due to the roughness of the ride.

***Hope to get the original next summer***

Iggy--who agrees Villian is horrible.

I'm running to Bull on opening day, anyone gets in my way and they'll get trampled.

Why will the ride be gone soon?

When we were in Japan we heard that this park is not doing very well. Kinda off the beaten path and in very bad shape. The coasters all ran very well though. It was as the Alveys say **Ghetto Disney**. The park looks like a replica of Disneyland but with coasters and in very bad shape.
