Main Entry: fact
Pronunciation: 'fakt
Function: noun
Etymology: Latin factum, from neuter of factus, past participle of facere
1 : a thing done: as a obsolete : FEAT b : CRIME <accessory after the fact> c archaic : ACTION
2 archaic : PERFORMANCE, DOING
3 : the quality of being actual : ACTUALITY <a question of fact hinges on evidence>
4 a : something that has actual existence <space exploration is now a fact> b : an actual occurrence <prove the fact of damage>
5 : a piece of information presented as having objective reality
- in fact : in truth

Somehow, none of these describe your statement that "the Proslide Tornado will be open for 2006." The only thing that is fact (assuming you are correct) is "the splashdown pool was emptied of sand this past week, and the area around the footers was stripped of sod and prepared as well."

Go on to http://www.google.com and type in wet n wild orlando or bomb bay or der stuka under images. The bomb bay one has fasinated me for years. You travel up a 70ft + stairway(which is the peak of the slide) and you go in this bomb capsule, then the door closes and youre sitting in this capsule waiting....and then....the floor drops from under you and you fall down the speed slide :D Now if we got a taller and steeper one, that would be nice.

What if we became the "worlds best water park" with the tallsest/fastest slides since we cant really do this with coasters  Ha....I mean water slides arent really that tall now

That's what I'm saying! The world's tallest slide is at Blizzard Beach. 120 ft. tall, 60 mph. That's not hard to beat at all. We wouldn't even need approval if it's under 125 ft. :)

Yeah, I wish it could become the best water park. It would be cool to have the tallest and fastest slide.

I was just looking at the site for Wet n Wild Orlando, and the Hydra Fighter looks really cool. It will probably never happen, but SFGAm should get one of those.

^The only problem with having the world's best waterpark is the crowds. Plus, from what i have heard, nothing can beat the Schlitterbaun water parks.

Why do you say that?

I think this waterpark is the one that Six Flags Inc. will continue to improve because of how many extra people it brought to SFGAm this year.

Just think about it, a record breaking slide in Chicago, I dont think so. Stuff like that belongs in warm places where people can enjoy them all year. We will probably get new slides over the years, but nothing record breaking.

Noah's Ark is the largest waterpark in the world, however, Schlitterbaun in Texas has three waterparks that together make what i would call the "water capital of the world." However, the dells has a lot of them, too.

How do I know it was emptied of sand? I saw it last week.

And why would they empty the pool if it wasn't opening next year twixmix?

You're confused and have no idea of what you're talking about. I never said that it wasn't opening next year. I'm betting it will. But it is not fact yet that it will be opening next year. It is fact after it has been announced by the park that it will be opening next year. Even if it was built, who's to say the park won't actually open it?

Uh huh. And you say I have no idea. Put up a slide and don't open it. Makes perfect business sense.

Remind me not to reccomend you as an employee

Hey, I'm just saying that there is always the slight possibility that it won't open in 2006. Like I said, I'd be willing to bet on it, but nothing has been announced yet, at least to the general public. When there's a press release, it's confirmed.

EDIT: Emptying the pool is like tearing up the parking lot. Just because the parking lot was torn up did not mean we were getting a water park. For all we knew, that could have been just for repaving. The conference call is what indicated we were getting a waterpark.

As for recommending me as an employee, PM me. I'd really like to know what that means. :?
