Thorpe's color choice on rocket...

Talk about anything that has to do with the amusement park industry here.

Does anyone think Thorpe park chose a little bit too much different colors?
I mean I give the ride credit for individuality, but too clashy maybe... :?

The fading effect is neat but it went white so rapidly. I thought it would slowly fade upward? The black launch goes to royal like blue to light blue then white! The airtime hill goes back to dark blue but with rustic red supports...huh? Its just weird to me, but as I said its unique so I give it that!

You need space on a server first. My guess is you don't have that, and that would be your problem. Just get free space like geocities and upload your images directly your space (do not place them on an html page). Let's say your geocities username was gottastrata33 and the name of the image was raging_bull.jpg. After uploading raging_bull.jpg to your space, you'd type into the forums:

Code: Select all

or wherever the image is hosted. Just make sure the image appears all by itself in the browser (the URL will end in .jpg or similar) and not on an actual page (.html or .php).

Oh, I thought you meant the paint was wearing off so soon. Anyway I do like the fading effect, but they should let the blue run about 1/2 ways up before going to white.

Yeah I know right? They really should have done that. Its funny though, that if youve seen pics from RITA at alton towers, people's faces are petrefied lookin'......Just think what the brits are gonna look like on this launch! I mean we have many coasters launchin at 80-100+ here in the U.S

Sorry went a little off topic, but youre right its just the colors fade too quickly.

Yeah, I think it should start to fade right after the top of the support. That would make a better effect. But it's still a cool idea.

I think it would also look cool if it was white at the bottom and faded in the other direction (from white to blue instead of blue to white), but the effect is still cool.
