Wow these things keep getting bigger and bigger. Im hopeing that these new big ones can pack the same amount of punch as the small ones like Double Shot at Indiana Beach. So far ive only rode IB's Double Shot (about 80ft. tall) and CP's Power Tower and thought the smaller one was way more intense with ejector air at the top. If they can pull that off with these new larger towers, then that would be one hell of a ride.

You would think the luanch would be faster launch than 60 though if it is 450ft tall.

ok, well, on another messageboard, someone said that its actually going to be 100 feet tall, but on top of a big mountain, or something...if 450 feet means 450 feet above sea level, then that is totally weak.

yea that would kinda suck if its 100ft and on top of a montain, but itd be awesome if its 450ft. I mean, a 450ft tower, thatd be pretty intense.
Eh, what's up?

I heard the other way around, 350 feet on top of a 100 foot tall mountain.

If the tower is 350ft why would it only go 60 mph. That doesnt make sense at all.

From what I understand, S&S towers don't use gravity at all, rather the car is always being pulled up or down by a pulley system hooked up to some big ass pneumatic cylinders. Thats why it would only go 60 from 350 feet, where at only 300, a coaster goes over 90.

Yeah, the S&S towers use a cable like Travis said... Man, those things are loud too! When I was at Cedar Point, Power Tower's pneumatics and stuff were really loud! It made it even more scary! :D

Yeah I always wondered about those things. They don't seem to fall the speed of gravity at all.

That type of height is crazy especially for a free fall ride.
