Staduim seating on intamin rides/Cedar Fair

Talk about anything that has to do with the amusement park industry here.

I looked at pics of KK today and noticed it had OTSR's instead of the lap bars that TTD and Xcellerator have which are both at CF parks. I've ridden Storm Runner at Hersheypark which is another accelerator coaster and it also has otsr's. I don't terribly mind the OTSR's, but is stadium seating exclusive to CF?

I think the stadium seating is part of the themeing. It is supposed to be a drag race type theme. So yeah, I think it is exclusive to CP.
This is where I would usually put stuff. Can't think of anything right now... =/

Millennium Force also has the 'stadium seating.' Same goes for all the Superman: Ride of Steel coasters, which are at Six Flags parks.

Two rows of seats per car. The second row is higher than the first row to give a better view. Check out this picture of S:ROS at Six Flags Darien Lake (the plastic covers are off of the train, but you get the idea):

I think stadium seating is for hyper/giga/strata Intamin coaster designs that applies for the coasters that don't go upside down and/or uses a lift hill. But then again Kingda Ka does have OTSR's last I recall.

All Intamin hypercoaster trains have stadium seating. (back 2 seats in each car are higher than the front 2 seats and also set further off to the sides of the car)

OTSR's are just cause SF(and other parks) got tired of Intamin rides tossing people to their death, that can really put a damper on the parks day.

Those don't look safe at all. I really don't like SROS's and MF's restraints, but I guess they're better than OTSR's.

I dont really like T-bars personally, though they are more comfortable than OTSRs, I just dont trust them, I have heard of too many times of accidents with them.

^Well that's why there is the Intamin Diet!

Personially, I like to OTSR's alot, but lapbars take the cake. You have more of that open feeling, and it's a nice touch when your 400+ feet in the air. All in all, I think they only use them is one of their coasters include a rolling element, as loops do not need anymore than a lapbar to hold riders in. Correct me if I'm wrong, but did NJ make it a law that KK had to have OTSR's?

OH! Stadium seating. My bad. I thought you meant those silver seats they have next to the track for guests to sit on and watch.

To me those stadium seats look stupid and pointless. The first row in each car(except the first) gets a wonderful view of the seat in front of them unless you are very tall. I have never been on a ride like that but I would guess that is how it is.
I wish I lived in Chicago so I could go to Six Flags more often!
