It was just announced that SFGAdv will be getting another coaster in 2006. It will be a wooden coaster transfered over from northern German harbor of Bremerhaven. This process will be starting in August of 2005 and will get a box weekly.

The funny thing is that the park probably didn't even want this leaked yet. So NO, no real specifics on this ride have been released yet.

cough-"When it's all wood,-cough-It's all good!-cough

I think that this coaster will replace Viper, but what do you think? It is the most logical place to put it.

He probably means that it will at least occupy part of Viper's space. Viper is surely coming down, but no one really KNEW it would be replaced right away.

So yeah, my bets are that at least part of Vipers spot becomes occupied sooner than later.

Thats the intamin laminated track that everyone talks about. I dont know whats up with the name of that company... I thought those were intamin coasters. Maybe they just work with them or something?

Im excited about this. Those wooden coasters are supposed to be really quiet, smoothe, and fast.

First, Viper has not started to be removed, it is SBNO'd right now. All they have done with Viper is put up a wall to close off the midway to Viper to remove, but there is no pieces of Viper that has been removed. So the removal of Viper has not started yet.

Also, all I meant was that this new woodie is going to replace Viper, but it won't happen till August, when they get the pieces for the new coaster.

Supposedly Colossos has gotten rather rough, same problem Dinn/Summers ran into with glue laminated track, wood expands and contracts at a different rate than the glue, and the track is torn apart from the inside out. Hopefully though, that problem has been fixed and SFGAdv does recieve a decent coaster, Colossos was quite fun when I rode.
