Guess what. I'm bored tonight so we are all going to test our knowledge of the various ride manufacturer/regulatory agencies Abbreviations and Acronyms (come on, it could be fun)

3 Rounds, tell everyone what the full names of the companies are, winners get nothing

Round 1(start easy)

S&S
GCI
B&M

Round 2 (getting harder)

VEKOMA
INTAMIN
FAB (OF Luxemburg)

Round 3 (hardest)

Need the full name of the Zierer Company
What does GmbH stand for (as in Mack GmbH, Zierer GmbH, etc)
and what does TÜV Stand for
and last but not least ASTM

GCI - Great Coasters International
B&M - Bolliger & Mabillard

I didn't know that Vekoma and Intamin were abbreviations. I learned something already, and I'm just beginning the day. PTC is another one you can add to the list which is Philadelphia Toboggan Company.

B&M-Bolliger and Mabillard
PTC stands for Philadelphia Toboggan Coasters, name was changed back in the 80's

ZIERER- ZIERER Karussell- und Spezialmaschinenbau GmbH is the full name
GmbH- Gesellshaft mit beschränkter Haftung, German for "limited
liability company." (LLC in the US)
ASTM-American Society for Testing and Materials
TUV- Technische Uberwachungs - Verein
(they are equivlent to, though far superior to UL)
